Key Belize is your home base for enjoying Belize to its fullest. Situated on a beautiful stretch of beach on the Caribbean Sea, Key Belize is a perfect central location for the 'key' highlights of a Belize vacation. Mayan ruins, howler monkeys, scuba diving and snorkeling are all awaiting.

Key Belize is on Sittee Point, Hopkins, Belize. Hopkins is becoming the most desirable destination in Belize due to its central location. Ocean activities include scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing. You may also visit jungles, Mayan ruins, caves and rivers. Hopkins is 10 miles south of Dangriga, centrally located on the Belizean coastline. Dangriga has an airport (a 14 minute flight from Belize International Airport) but we encourage renting a car and driving to see more of Belize.

We recommend renting a vehicle at Belize International Airport. Your drive will take you through rain forests, valleys, low mountains, by citrus groves and peaceful Mayan villages. You may want to stop at one of the many waterfalls and rivers as you make your way to Hopkins. You will enjoy private excursions to all the beautiful inland attractions with your own vehicle.

  • The main house on the upper level has three bedrooms and two tiled baths with large showers. The master suite has its own large sliding glass door leading to the veranda with beautiful views of the ocean. The upstairs bedrooms all have either jungle or water views. The three bedrooms upstairs can accommodate six people in beds and two more on a queen mattress for a total capacity of 8 upstairs. Four people can stay downstairs, two in the bedroom and two on a queen mattress.

Notes: The large open air veranda overlooks the beach. It is covered so that it can be used day or night, in any kind of weather. The veranda is where you will spend most of your time, relaxing, having cocktails or coffee, or eating meals. Gentle sea breezes keep you comfortable while you gaze at the sea in front of you or listen to the crashing waves.

The spacious open great room has a Mahogany vaulted ceiling and two patio doors opening onto to the veranda. The dining area has a large table with room to seat eight for meals. The kitchen has custom Mahogany cabinets with brand new appliances. All rooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans. The lower level apartment has one bedroom, a bath, kitchenette and living area opening onto a patio overlooking the sea. Again, air conditioning and ceiling fans ensure your comfort.

The entire house or either unit is available for your family or group to use. The beach is perfect for swimming with a smooth sandy shore and bottom. The sea bottom gradually descends and you can walk out almost 100 feet from shore.

There is a full kitchen for meal preparation upstairs and downstairs. Nice restaurants are within walking distance. A caretaker can assist you during your stay.

We spent 10 days over Christmas at Key Belize with our 4 adult children and partners, 9 total. The house was great, Hopkins was great, and all the people we met and dealt with were very nice and helpful. There were many activities, not enough time to do everything. The guys really enjoyed the fly-fishing; there was great snorkeling and scuba diving; good food; wonderful beaches; access to resort amenities; generally a memorable vacation. It was a perfect choice for a family gathering!
