Ski:
The Sandia Peak Ski Area is a short drive from the Villa and can be reached either by car, or by the world's longest tramway. The Santa Fe Ski Area is a hour's drive and the Taos Ski Valley is a three-hour drive from the Villa.

There are 12 public golf courses in and around Albuquerque, as well as three driving ranges. Notable among the golf courses are the Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course, which is one of Golf Digest's top 50, 27-hole courses, and the University of New Mexico's course, the site of NCAA Championships and PGA & USGA events.
