You'll think you've died and gone to heaven! This luxury cabin known as 'White Rapids Retreat' is located on the Buck Shoals gorgeous wide stretch of the Chattahoochee River near Helen and is anything but ordinary. Relax and sleep to the sounds of the rushing river rapids just 50 feet from the cabin and enjoy the panoramic open views of the river while soaking in the hot tub. The kids will love climbing trees and playing on the 3 different swings on the property. Your stress will melt away as you catnap in the riverside hammock. The screened porch with natural slate tile floor overlooks the river and has satellite TV so Dad won't miss any of the football game. Any gourmet chef would be delighted by the beautiful kitchen, stainless steel grill on the deck, and half drum charcoal grill down by the river.

Notes: This unique section of the river directly behind the cabin is your own private water amusement park: enjoy swimming, sunning and relaxing on the sandbar in the middle of the river, tubing / kayaking / rafting from behind the cabin, playing on the natural rock watersides, and hiking along the river. The fishing is excellent behind the cabin for small mouth bass, striped bass, catfish, and bream. We also have a Picnic Table next to the River, Hammock next to the River, Tree Swing, Tire Swing.

Nature lovers: should keep an eye out for the wild deer and Canadian geese in the backyard while sipping your morning coffee. The kids will play for hours with the box turtles. Well, I have to say it was one of the best cabins I have ever seen. I had told myself not to expect everything we had seen in the pictures but it was that and more. Everyone who has ask me about my trip, I have to tell them you must see the pictures as you won't believe what I am saying. We enjoyed the fire place at night and even a couple of people got into the hot tub when it was 35 outside. In the cold weather we even saw a couple of boats on the river and the river was the greatest. Would love to go back when we can get into the river. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

Absolutely FABULOUS Cabin! What a treat it was to stay in your cabin. The leaves were at peak and the weather was great. Our children really enjoyed playing in the river and we felt very safe with them out there. We also enjoyed watching the college football games outside on the screened in porch, while listening to the roar of the river in the background. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin and look forward to coming back!

We stayed at the cabin for a short weekend and it was wonderful! It was easy to set up payment and was a quick drive from Atlanta. It was very secluded and the view of the river was beautiful. There's plenty of space, the amenities were all top notch and it was very relaxing. We spent all day on the river and our dogs had as much fun as we did! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a secluded, relaxing getaway with all the comforts of home!

To anyone wishing to rent this property ... it is everything they say it is..you won't be disappointed. The view is wonderful and very relaxing. We spent 9 days there and loved every minute of it. Saw deer on the property often. The beds were comfortable, and plenty of room in the cabin. We would definitely go back again. Our cell phone would not work there..but others do.
