Looking for that perfect vacation getaway? You have found it in this beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom mountain chalet! This home is only 7 years old (with permanent residents who took immaculate care of their home), but fairly new in the rental program! My husband and I fell in love with it immediately (after looking at many cabins) and bought it in November 2007. We totally redecorated and painted it to reflect the warmth and beauty of the surrounding area of Golden Valley. We are excited to share our home and let others experience the peacefulness, tranquility, and comfort of a home in the mountains! The home definitely does not feel like your typical rental.

Notes: We have tried to provide everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We want you to come back every year. This is a perfect home for a large family or 2 families to share and still have some privacy. It sleeps 8-9 people. The house sits on 3.1 acres in a gated community. The views are awesome and it is a perfect area to take long walks in the morning or for the more adventuresome....some hiking in the woods. For a small fee, we can even arrange for some groceries to be delivered upon arrival to get your week started. The closest convenience store is 14 miles and the closest grocery store is about 20 miles. Also, for a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or holiday, fresh flowers, wine, champagne, chocolates, or cake can be delivered before you arrive. Just let us know what we can do to personalize your stay here.

More about the house:: The house has 3 levels: the large loft with a very comfortable king-size bed, bathroom, walk-in closet, 32-inch T.V. with DVD player, and the most AMAZING SUNRISE VIEW to awaken to! The main level has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a bathroom also. It is located near the kitchen which has every possible cooking amenity you need to prepare amazing meals! There are place settings for 12 if needed. The great room and rustic dining table that can seat 8 are perfect for large parties. There is a gas fireplace and plenty of comfy leather furniture for cozy family gatherings. The floor-to-ceiling Pella windows, hardwood floors, and hardwood cathedral ceilings complete the perfect 'mountain feel.' A small wall-mounted T.V. is perfect for the chef to watch while cooking.

The finished-out basement is wonderful for privacy. There is a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a full bathroom, mini-fridge, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. There is another full living area with a queen-size sofa sleeper, loveseat, round rustic table (perfect for cards), and a 57-inch Sony T.V. with DVD player. All 3 TVs have DirecTV receivers. There is free outgoing continental long-distance included as some cell phones have a weak signal here. The wrap-around balcony is perfect for that cup of fresh-brewed coffee in the morning or that Creamy, Dreamy cup of hot chocolate in the evening! A gas grill is provided and a chiminea to cozy up to! There are single and double Adirondack-style gliders for your comfort. Maybe you'll even see some deer stroll by! Of course, soft, fresh towels and crisp linens are provided as well as hair dryers in every bathroom.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us over Thanksgiving. The house was perfect and we had everything we needed and more. It was so nice to be together as a family without the distractions of cell phones and internet. The setting was so peaceful. We all wished we could stay longer and the girls would like to make it a family tradition. Thank you so much! We had a great time with a fun side trip to Chimney Rock.

My family stayed at this wonderful mountain chalet for Christmas, 2007. We had 9 people and there was plenty of room. The home and location are just beautiful and the decorating is very comfortable and professionaly done. I would highly recommend this home. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. Enjoy!
