Private Charming Lake Home on Pokegama Chain with 5 acres of privacy

The cabin and property were even better than our expectations. There was lots of room for the kids to run outside and the cabin layout was such that you were able to have some private time very easily. The kitchen was LARGE and well equipped.

I do agree with a previous reviewer that it would have been nice to have a TV antenna, but there were plenty of movies (VHS & DVD) and games for the whole family. We also brought our Playstation & Wii along...as well as Jig Saw puzzles.

Renting the pontoon for the week was perfect for fishing with the family.
speaking of fishing...OMG...we caught so many huge Sunnies and Crappies...we even caught a few large perch. We found the fishing spot the first day and didn't bother trying to find another.

The kids enjoyed Tioga beach for swimming. It was very convenient to pull the pontoon up to the boat area and let the kids swim.

We found that we had so much fun at the cabin that there was no need to seek it elsewhere...although we did go to Zorbaz for dinner one night and had a great time and shopping for unique items at the Red Willow was great.

We would definitely recommend this property and have already sent in our rental request for next year.

The cabin was more than I expected! So comfy and roomy. Unfortunately, it sits on a hill, that was steeper than I would have liked. But one thing is for sure, fishing was great!
Spent time in the city of Grand Rapids (loved shopping at Glen's Army Navy Surplus). The night life at Zorba's was wild. Took a drive through Iron Ore country, up to Hibbing.
All in all, I would definately recommend this cabin as a great get-a-way.
