To experience this cabin means to experience the very essence of Tahoe. Relax in complete privacy, under the sky among a canopy of pine and aspen in a pristine hot tub or wonder the area and view a tribute to our pioneering history. A genuine period trail wagon makes the perfect photo opportunity to commemorate your stay with your beloved family and friends. While on the ranch you will notice the magnificent gardens which are landscaped to a natural Tahoe setting with a lovely collection of Sierra natives. Step inside the cabin and prepare to be stunned. You will notice a tasteful blend of reclaimed redwood, cedar, pine, and earth gaged slate tile.

Pioneer Trail Cabin is less than 1 mile from the casinos and Heavenly Resort. Groceries, movie theater, restaurants, coffee shop, and ice skating are in walking distance. There is a city bus stop just 100 feet from the cabins' driveway and a taxi service is available with reasonable prices. Don't feel like going out there is plenty of reason to stay in - hot tub, flat screen TV, cable, movie library, books and magazines, game system, board games, full service kitchen, picnic and grill, wireless Internet and more

Pioneer cabin is easily accessible with a level entry and large parking area. The cabin is beautifully designed with 100 year old redwood floors reclaimed from century old farm houses. The beams and other cedar heart wood accents were all saved from old Tahoe cabins being demolished. Earthen slate tiles may be found through out the home. Although the cabin is immaculately clean you will feel comfortable and relaxed the moment you arrive. Do not let the term 'pioneer' fool you - this cabin is completely furnished and equipped with all the modern conveniences of your own home while keeping in the original spirit of the old west.

In closing we would like to share with you as owners of this home, we strive to make this cabin user friendly, functional, clean, comfortable, and relaxing for all of its' guests. We love to have a nice time and this house is conducive to this mindset of ours. It is a fun, warm, cozy cabin with great amenities. If you choose our home for your next vacation, we feel confident you will come away with wonderful memories that will last for years to come!!! No complaints, cabin was beautiful, Jeri was very helpful. The cabin is on a main road but is tucked away enough for you to feel isolated. We will be back!!

We've stayed at Pioneer Trail Cabin in June 2009 for climbing/hiking trip.
We love it the moment we saw it.
Everything was perfect: location (close to the main roads, but away and quiet), unique design (wood & stone) and private patio.
We highly recommend it and hope to return back.

Heavenly cabin

We spent a week in February 09 skiing at Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Sierra. This cabin is beautifully finished with hardwood and stone and furnished with everything. It is located on the shuttle bus route to Heavenly and the village. We strongly recommend this to anyone staying in South Lake Tahoe in the winter.

The perfect Christmas

We all had the most amazing trip, the cabin was just so cosy and gorgeous. It is very centrally located within walking distance to town which was a huge bonus. Thourougly recommend this cabin and thanks to the owners for making our stay so wonderful.
