Mesa Del Sol Estate Retreat and Winery

This was one of the best experiences I have had with any vacation so far. And when I say that, it starts from planning, reservation, travel, interaction with Ann and eventually staying at the retreat. For folks like us (we were 6 families), I had the apprehension of how the vacation rentals would be from what they promise and what it has to offer. But, in this case you have one person to deal with and it is pleasure interacting with her (Ann). She provided all necessary information. And, for folks that want to consider this place, my experience has been that, "Ann works a whole lot based on TRUST". It is not first come first serve basis or business above all. We had thought of going a certain weekend and with 6 families had 5-10% doubt that our plans may shift. But, Ann held the retreat for us for the weekend with no reservations until she received our deposit check etc. Overall, the customer experience is amazing!!

About the property: It is so beautifulyl tucked away in a land of Vineyards, small mountain on one side, Arroyo Seco river flowing right in the backyard (albeit you can't access from there). From amenities point of view within the retreat and also from picturesque perspective for those that want to evoke creative thoughts, this is a great place.

Our kids had an amazing time here. They had a lot of space to run around and stroll in the nature, around vineyard and lawns. The kitchen is amazing supportive of any cuisine you want to cook. There are a couple of BBQ pits and a hot tub. Hot tub sits on the verge of the cliff (it is very safe, not at all dangerous) in the backyard overlooking the range of moutains and river below the cliff (you may be lucky to see some snow peaks based on the season in one of the mountains).

I can just go on...But, I ecommend this to almost anybody. But, this is best enjoyed with at least 2-3 familes or large families of at least 10 or so.

We had a wonderful time at Mesa Del Sol!! The property was amazing and provided an abundance of things to do (swinging under the tree, walking thru the vineyards, bocce ball, hot tub, watching the birds dance at dusk over the pond, feeding the chickens, horseshoes, bonfire and just relaxing!). Everyone in the family (7 adults and 4 children) had such a great time. Thanks for making our Thanksgiving so memorable!

Like many of the reviewers we had our family reunion at Mesa Del Sol . Every person was thrilled with this beautiful spacious magical place and frankly that's saying something. Ann has carefully and thoughtfully restored the house to honor it's history but modernize conveniences. The kitchen is charming with all new appliances along with a wood cookstove. The 14 acres are lovely with sprawling 300 year oak trees, large grass areas, an organic garden with basil, tomatoes and eggplant in November. This time of year the vineyards are bright yellow against a backdrop of the Arroyo Seco River and the Ventana Wilderness. There are so many wonderful outdoor spaces, room to spread out. There is a hard pack sports court and we played a lot of bocce ball. There is a large round table outside that seats 15+ with a giant lazy susan in the middle.
Ann was very easy to deal with. She obviously loves Mesa Del Sol and enjoys sharing her place.
We had a fantastic reunion!
