We've done a group trip for 5 years now and this house we will seriously consider renting again. Location is right between Okemo and Killington which allowed us two great mountains to ski. The house is very spacious and even with a group of 16 we never felt crowded in the least bit. We were able to set up both a yoga and massage appointments at the house from the property renters which game plenty of options for those in our group that did not ski. The only down part was having to leave a night early because of an incoming snow storm the next day!!
This property was perfect for our 12 senior golfers trip. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms and space to get away if you wanted. There were plenty of good courses in the area and if you are a skier there are plenty of slopes nearby for a winter visit. We had two cooks in our group and they were very pleased with the kitchen and its amenities. The owner Tesha was very responsive to a minor issue we had. We would definitely return to this property whether for golf in the summer or skiing in the winter.
I booked the Good Commons property for my sister's bachelorette party. We had sixteen girls and it was such a blast!! There was plenty of bedrooms for 16 people to sleep comfortably and not feel on top of each other. There were also plenty of bathrooms so when it came time to get 16 girls ready for a night out on the town there were no issues at all. The house was extremely clean including the Kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The beds were so comfortable! There are two large refrigerators in the kitchen so you can stock up for your weekend! We also utilized the chef services and our meal was absolutely fantastic from the first course through dessert! The menu was great and Tesha (the owner) and the chef, Leslie, took care of everything from setting the table to clean up. We then hired the Good Commons Bus company to transport us to the bars in Killington on Saturday night. Chris, our bus driver, was extremely professional and made sure that all of the girls were transported to the bar safely, and most importantly, transported home in one piece. He was extremely courteous and caring and made sure that he was available when two girls had to head home before the rest of the crowd. This was all coordinated with the help of Mary. She is absolutely a wonderful property manager and answered all of our questions to ensure that our weekend went smoothly. She is extremely responsive and so polite. All in all this was a fantastic experience, the perfect spot for a bachelorette party, and I would definitely rent here again for a weekend!!
This is the third time our group of 16 (8 adults and 8 kids) have stayed at Good Commons for our ski vacation. Each time we arrive the property is in perfect condition. Over the years we have added services to our stay such as hiring their private chef and booking a meditation session and dance classes for the kids. Tesha the owner really knows how to take care of her guests. During this stay there was a brief power outage due to weather and she actually brought us a bottle of wine to make up for any inconvenience! How great is that.
The location is perfect as the Skyship gondola to Bear Mountain is just down the road. The quaint town of Woodstock is also very close as is Longtrail brewery and a great spa at The Woods. So many places to snowshoe too!
The three floors at the house allow the adults and kids to have a bit of privacy and each year the kids look forward to sleeping as a group in the beautiful loft bedroom complete with two bathrooms and lounge. It looks like a scene from Nanny McPhee! The yoga studio is also a wonderful addition and there are yoga and fitness tapes available to use. The hot tub is a great way to cap off the evening. I am already looking forward to next year!
The house had more than enough space and very amenity you could think of (hot tub, steam shower, yoga room etc.) It was the perfect location for our groups annual ski trip. We have done various locations and this house was by far the most unique. Nothing better after a long day of skiing than coming back to the comforts of spacious yet cozy home!
This house was perfect for our family vacation! There were 17 adults that stayed here for 3 nights. The space was perfect - plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to spread out. The large kitchen was definitely our favorite room. Three ovens made cooking a breeze. The house is close to Killington resort where many people went skiing and snowboarding while we were there. If you need a comfortable house for a big group, we highly recommend this property.
Other Activities: shopping, antiquing, kayaking, snowmobiling, boating, wildlife viewing, spa, skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing
