Our Camp Is Your Camp:
Whip-Poor-Will Lodge is our family camp, and has been in the family for 100 years. We want our renters to feel like this is their family's camp, as well. You have full access to everything on the property just as a family member would, and we ask you to treat the camp as if you were family, as well.
What You'll Get From Us:
1) Exclusive use of the house and grounds, including the dock and swimming area in Lake Winnipesaukee, for the time we agree on. 2) Access from 3 p.m. on the first Saturday until 9 a.m. the last Saturday, leaving six hours between guests. 3) A clean house with working water and electric (and in 2009 TV and wireless Internet access) when you arrive. 4) The right to use anything in the house, including condiments or non-perishable food and drink as long as you replace stuff for the next family if it runs out. 5) Our personal cell-phone so if there are problems we can get them fixed up really fast. 6) A name and number of someone in town who will respond if you can't get a hold of us. 7) Our aluminum Grumman canoe with paddles and the like. 8) A list of great places in town to frequent, and places to take day-trips if you are interested
What We Ask Of You:
1) Bring your own linens and towels. There are blankets and pillows at the camp, but you might want more -- it can get chilly, even in August. 2) Treat the house as your own, meaning with care and respect but also full access to anything in the house. 3) 10% deposit to certify a booking, and full payment eight (8) weeks before the rental. 4) A $500 check as a deposit against damages or the need to hire a cleaning service, though we expect to mail each one back un-cashed 'cause we trust you. 5) No Smoking in the house. There are ashtrays if you want to smoke on the porch. 6) Leave the house as clean for the next family as you found it, sweeping up the floors, wiping counters and tables, and running the dishwasher. 7) Have fun, enjoy the camp, love the place as much as we do. 8) Don't freak out if a neighbor comes by. We look out for each other on the water. 9) Those are pretty much the rules we live by and let folks use our house with. If you have any questions, drop me a line
