Located on a quiet, dead end street near Ellis Landing, this traditional Cape Cod cottage has been tastefully updated. Take a quick 2/10 of a mile stroll down the sandy lane to private beach access. Enjoy the tame bay waters by swimming, kayaking or canoeing at high tide or explore the tidal pools and flats at low tide. Bakery, ATM, Restaurants, convenience store, antique and art galleries are all within short walking distance. And don’t forget your bikes! The Rail Trail – access to Nickerson State Park, kettle ponds and ice cream stands are a just a leisurely ride away. At days end, relax on the large deck and private backyard perfect for lawn games, BBQ or simply stargazing after the beautiful beach sunsets. 2 br, sleeps 6 (4 T, 1 Q), 1 Bath. Bayside - quick access, walk to private beach near Ellis Landing area in Brewster. Close to Nickerson State park and other area kettle ponds via Cape Cod's Rail Trail system. Brewster Ladies Library, Drummer Boy Park, Museum of Natural History, Fireman's Museum, Cape Cod Baseball League's Brewster Whitecaps and Paine's Creek are all a short drive/bike ride away down beautiful historic 6A. A car is completely optional durning your stay here. Walk to local restaurants, convenience store, ATM, bookstore, bakery, antique shops and more. Bring your own or rent a bike and explore the many miles of scenic paved trails linking mid, lower and upper cape. Baseball fan? Brewster Whitecaps home field is 2.5 mi away. Up for more sightseeing? Whale Watches, Seal Watches and historic lighthouses are nearby as well as some of the most beautiful architecture and picturesque beaches that the Cape is known for. Reach P-town or Hyannis in under 30 mins drive from our central location

Our cottage's location...: This property is located on a dead-end sandy lane in the quiet Ellis Landing community. Families will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the neighborhood, transporting them back to a simpler time. Parents will appreciate the privacy and their children will love experiencing the natural beauty that Cape Cod is known for.

The cottage itself....: Our house has been lovingly updated for our own family, and we invite you to share in the conveniences put in place to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Surprisingly spacious inside, the new floors and raised ceilings make this a cottage to remember. Media - TV, DVD and internet are available as well as cd player/radio. Some movies are provided, but feel free to bring your own or rent locally. Rainy day? Books for both kids & adults are supplied as are various family board games. Linens are not provided, but local linen services can easily accomodate your needs. Our hope is that you create your own Cape memories during your visit and want to return year after year.

Ready for summer...: We are now accepting reservations for 2010. Intrested in our discounted fall rates? Indian Summer is a perfect time for the Cape. The waters are still warm and the crowds have disappeared, allowing the area's natural beauty to take over. Enjoy the bliss of being the only one on the beach, and relish the last of the sun's warming rays before the leaves turn.

We love this cottage - it's quiet, with very few cars or pedestrians walking by ever, as it's near the end of a dead end sandy lane. There is an abundance of natural light, leaving the cottage feeling open and fresh. Upon arrival, the cottage and yard is always clean & welcoming. Every evening, the breeze off the bay cools off the summer heat nicely - until then the two large ceiling fans do the trick. The outdoor shower off the large back deck is my favorite part of the whole experience (it even has hot water). Adjacent to the deck is a good sized back yard - rare for a cottage - which is big enough for lawn games like bocce ball, frisbee, croquet, etc. The owners have done a lot of work recently, and the cottage is just beautiful. Even with a 'full house' the cottage doesn't feel cramped on a rainy day.

The kitchen amenities are a great bonus. There is a full size fridge with a freezer on top. Frequently, we'll cook several meals 'at home' which saves us a great deal of money by not eating out all of the time, and makes breakfast a quick & easy affair. There is a grill on the back deck that we use on a regular basis. We like to visit the Orleans Farmers Market in the summer to get super fresh Lobster (at $8.99/lb - a steal) direct from the lobsterman. We cook the lobster and eat out on the back deck, which makes containing the mess very easy. There is nothing like fresh lobster in the summer on the cape.

Having Ellis Landing beach just a short walk away is great. I like being able to take a quick walk down to the beach to catch dawn breaking or a quick sunset (in addition to the usual beach activities) - if I had to drive, I would never do it. The walk is short enough for children, and it's very safe. For great fried seafood, check out Cobies on 6A. We also enjoyed Scoops Ice Cream by the Brewster General Store. The Brewster Book Store, although cramped, has a great selection and very helpful personnel.

I have already recommended this property to several friends, and will continue to do so. The owners of the cottage provide great customer service and I've never had a problem with them.

I can't imagine staying any place else in Brewster.
