Located in the heart of Historic Chester County, few locations in the United States offer so many things to see and do. Virtually any creation of man or nature is nearby ( 1hr.). The cottage is on a 70 acre country estate (circa. 1797) with fields & trails, surrounded by over 2000 acres of private land. Yet, there is gourmet dining, tennis and historic sites within walking or bicycle distance. In the late 1990s, Chester County was listed as one of the top ten counties in which to live, owing to its beauty, historic significance and the general sophistication of its inhabitants. Horses with carriage and hot air balloons are just a few of the common sights. The Cottage is located on a lane, just off a small country road that is frequented by bicyclists and joggers.

We were met by the owner and his daughter, oriented to the property and amenities, offered bicycles and directions and welcomed into a lovely cottage on a beautiful piece of property in a picturesque neighborhood. The house seems newly refurbished, has flat screen tvs and a very comfortable bedroom, plenty of room for three, a functional kitchen, and beautiful 3 season porch. There was a gas fireplace that would be lovely in the winter. VERY romantic, VERY cozy, and private but handy to owner's residence.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

A wonderful place to spend several quiet days relaxing and enjoying nature. The country setting is beautiful and the hosts are gracious.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
