This secluded three bedroom home is on an old family vacation retreat. Our family would love to share this beautiful spot with yours. Our small, sand beach is a wonderful place for children to play and the shallow water is also ideal for wading and dip-net crabbing. This relaxing getaway,on Carter Creek near White Stone, is in the tidewater area near where the Rappahannock River joins Chesapeake Bay. Make sure you bring along your binoculars to watch the birds and boats. At night, this is a great location for star gazing, as we're far from the bright city lights. You can fish and swim off our dock and moor your boat (5' depth at end at MLW), or pull your small boat up on the shore. While you are here you can visit historical sites, museums, old fishing villages and interesting antique and other shops. Marinas and charter fishing boats are also nearby, as well as great restaurants. There are plenty of tourist attractions to visit within an hour or so drive.

This secluded home is on an old family farm/vacation retreat with wonderful views all around. Families will enjoy relaxing in this beautiful rural tidewater area on Carter Creek (see picture), 10 miles up the Rappahannock River from the Chesapeake Bay. The small local towns of White Stone, Irvington and Kilmarnock have festivals, antique shops, restaurants and museums. Visit historical sites, old fishing villages and Belle Isle State Park. Small sandy beach at cottage is wonderful for small children. Go dip-net crabbing, fish or swim off the dock, watch the birds and boats and star gaze during the dark nights. You can charter fishing boats nearby for a great day of fishing in the Rappahannock River or Chesapeake Bay. Williamsburg, Norfolk, Virginia Beach are within 50 miles. Washington, D.C. is about 3 1/2 hours away.

The living room has a TV/VCR/DVD & a recliner. In the screened-in porch, where the grills are stored, are a plastic patio table and 5 chairs (also 4 kids chairs). There is a 'Florida Room' on Creek side of house with casual seating for 8 and a table & 4 chairs.
