OCCUPANCY NEWS FLASH--We are fully booked April 1-July 15th (a corporate rental). We are available before and after those dates.

Welcoming - Comfortable fully furnished apartments, centrally located in the Black Hills but within easy distance of Rapid City services and activities.

Ideal for vacationers: Make day trips south to Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, and Custer State Park, or north to Deadwood, Sturgis, and Spearfish Canyon--even Devil's Tower, Wyoming--or east to the Badlands.

Located on the upper reaches of Rapid Creek and overlooked by wooded bluffs, Johnson Siding is only 4 1/2 miles from U.S. Route 385, the main north-south route through the Black Hills, 30 miles south of the Deadwood/Lead area, 22 miles from Hill City, and 32 miles north of the Mt. Rushmore Memorial, yet it is only 11 miles from the restaurants and shopping services of Rapid City’s west side.

Sturgis Rally 2013--One unit still available (2-bedroom unit),.

Fishing/Hunting: Turkey hunters find this a great location in both spring and fall. Good deer hunting in fall, and plenty of fishing in the local lakes and streams.

Working Locally, Building A Home, or Relocating: Our pleasantly furnished apartments are available short- or long-term at reasonable rates. The apartments are of very generous size with living room/dining room, kitchen, and 1-½ baths. Furniture includes sofa and recliner, dining table, and TV (cable provided) with DVD player. Linens, housewares, etc., are new in 2006-07. Pay washers and dryers in building.

Nearby, the well-stocked Johnson Siding General Store has good coffee, wi-fi access, a deli (delicious sandwiches, pizza, cold-cuts, steaks, etc.), and a gas station. The friendly Rimrock Happy Tavern welcomes visitors.

Great location for a long-stay rental

Cliff View provided us with a great place to stay while working for a few months over the winter in Rapid City. The owners, Tony and Gail, went above and beyond to answer our questions, help us settle in, and provide excellent customer service. The apartment was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. We have loved seeing deer, eagles, and big horn sheep, and it is a beautiful drive in to Rapid City and up to Deadwood, Lead, Sturgis, Spearfish and beyond. We enjoyed our time at Cliff View and hope to return!

Perfect Experience - Would stay there again!

Our expectations of our stay were both matched and bettered! The amount of space in the apartment was amazing. Compared with the average motel room, it felt like a mansion! The rooms themselves were clean and tastefully furnished, and the beds very comfortable. We were also impressed by the modern conveniences and took advantage of the full size refrigerator, kitchen and two bathrooms!
As for the location, it is an unparalleled spot, nestled right in the midst of the beautiful Black Hills, yet only a short drive from downtown Rapid City.
The owners' service was also exceptional and they made sure we felt at home even before we'd walked through the door!
All in all, a definite 5-Star facility and one we will recommend to friends.

Awesome vacation home

We visited Cliff View Apts recently for the second time. This time we traveled with another couple on our motorcycles, We absolutely love this place. The owners are easy to work with and awesome people. We met Tony a few years ago while there and had the pleasure to meet Gail this time. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apt this time and there was plenty of room for the 2 couples we had. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking if you want to do that on vacation. Apartments are conveniently located for touring the Black Hills. Owners know the area very well and offer suggestions of things to do and see. As in the description there is a bar next door, we have never had a problem with this for noise. I think this time it closed down every night about 10p.m. We look forward to our rides to the Black Hills and will be sure to stay here again. Thank you Tony & Gail for a great place to visit.

Had Everything!

I just spent 5 days at Cliff View and I am here to tell you, It couldn't have been any better! The place was completely stocked with everything you would need, and very, very clean! There is a general store and a tavern right next door which was a super big plus for me! I will be back! Thanks Tony and Jeff, I had a wonderful time!!

WOULD STAY AGAIN!

We enjoyed our stay at Cliff View. The place was clean and was able to meet our needs. It is nicely located so we were able to see and do many things with the convience of this location. Tony is very helpful and his rates are excellent compared to other properties.
