The air is absolutely clean; the breezes are heavenly. This is a perfect, unspoiled, tropical paradise -- the likes of which are very, very rare, anywhere in the world.
This 4000 square feet mansion has four very large bedrooms, a very large den, a very large kitchen/dining area, and an exceptionally large and well-appointed library and music room. Each bedroom has a very large Italian attached bath, with double sinks, shower and tub. Each bedroom is fully furnished, with exquisite furniture built from native hardwoods. The entire house has one-inch thick tongue & groove hardwood flooring, made of exotic native hardwoods. All rooms have very high 16 ft tall ceilings; each room has ceiling fans and air-conditioning. The whole house has tropical ventilation, and is completely sealed with mosquito screens everywhere. There are never any mosquitoes, however.
The house comes with all the American amenities -- dishwasher, refrigerator, clothes-washer, dryer, hot-water heater, etc.
There is a 1600 gallon spare water-tank for the house, just in case the city water stops for a few hours.
The two master bedrooms are on the second floor, with floor to ceiling glass on two sides giving an absolutely splendid panoramic view of the sea and the Papagayo bay. Each of the two masters has a king-bed, and an oriental carpet. Each has an attached walk-in closet, and a large dresser. There is a tropical veranda that surrounds these two bedrooms, with a bench where one could sit and enjoy the water-view and the cool sea-breezes.
The other two bedrooms are on the first floor, and each has a panoramic view of the ocean. Each has a queen-size bed, dressers, and an attached bath with Italian tub and shower.
The library is on the second floor, with a 10 ft by 12 ft oriental carpet (with a hunt scene). Book cases line two walls. There is a 30 ft long plate glass window, from which one sees a panoramic view of the green mountains, which are only 300 ft away from the window.
The den, kitchen, and dining areas are on the first floor. The den has 16 ft ceilings and is 1400 square feet. It has a silk oriental carpet, a very large coffee table, a couch, and four chairs, all made of tropical woods and upholstered with native floral prints. There is an entertainment center in the den that includes a TV/VCR/stereo and about 50 popular American movie videos.
The dining room has a hardwood formal dining table, with six chairs. There is China and silverware to serve eight.
One level below the first floor there is an outdoor patio, with a tiled roof and a tiled floor. There is a huge picnic table to seat 10, and a large hammock for two. The patio has a spectacular 360 degree view of the ocean and the mountains.
From this patio, one could walk down 20 steps on a winding walkway to the swimming pool. It is professionally maintained daily by the guard, who lives on-site. The swimming pool has a jacuzzi.
Ski:
There is full-time manager who also lives in a separate house on the property of CASA TRANQUILA. So, you can enjoy your vacation in comfort, and with peace of mind.
Golf:
Halfway down to the pool there is another open patio, with wooden seating for 20 people. This patio once again has the most memorable view of the Papagayo bay. There are five other wooden decks that adjoin the mansion, and each deck is stepped to come gently down from the mansion level to the swimming pool level. The decks are made of native hard-woods and have flower beds, with wrought-iron furniture on each deck.
Away from the pool, toward the edge of the property which fronts on a local street, is a car-garage with a tile roof. To the right of the garage, shielded from the view and behind trees, is the house where the full-time manager, Paolo, lives. Paolo supervises the maid, who can clean the mansion daily. He can also arrange for a full-time cook, for an additional modest cost.
