This lovingly built and well maintained property is situated in the southern Aridanetal at an altitude of about 550m. Its appearance is dominated by an ancient and vast cypress (El Ciprés), which gives the entire house shadow that is of use especially in summer. This tree has also given its name to the finca. On the plot grow many exotic plants, including orange, lemon and avocado trees from which guests can make use of you.

The Finca El Ciprés' is on a varied, multi-terraced land with about 2000 square meters, of which one on each of the terraces has a truly magnificent view of the sea and mountains. Below the property, within sight of the terraces is a plot belonging to the green space to play in the children without risk and thereby can be observed. Parking is located directly on the property; Another car park is 50m away on the grounds of the neighbors who also take care of the house and the well-being of the guests and will be your contact for all questions.

The building is a perfect mix of ancient and modern ingredients Spanish style elements. It has been renovated several times and expanded over the last 20 years and has grown to its present architecture.

In the immediate vicinity, only a few hundred meters away, is a small shop where you can buy practically anything other than fresh meat, what you need for everyday life, of course, fresh bread rolls. Almost every day comes a van selling fresh fish past the house.

Comfortable and spacious accommodation

We had a very pleasant stay at "El Ciprés". The property is very comfortable and has plenty of space. We particularly enjoyed the bright conservatory that has lovely views to the west. Perfect for watching the sunsets.

The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything needed for preparing meals. We enjoyed making a fire in the evening and relaxing in the lounge.

The location of the property is also excellent. There are many walks within easy reach, including a super hike from St Nicolas (5 minutes drive away) up to the lava fields.The coast is also close by as are the local towns of El Paso and Los Llanos. The National Park is just past El Paso where there are many more hiking options.

There are a number of guides and books in the property although these were all in German. Maybe a few in English would be helpful to non German speaking clients.

All in all we would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay on La Palma.

Großartige Finca mit Traumblick

Die Finca "El Ciprés" war im Januar 2015 eine Woche lang unser Zuhause (2 Erwachsene und ein dreijähriges Kind).

Es war einfach großartig. Die Finca wurde äußerst liebevoll her- und eingerichtet, der Blick auf das Meer ist traumhaft und die Betreuung vor Ort war perfekt.

Zudem ist die Finca geographisch perfekt gelegen, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel in alle Richtungen zu erkunden.

Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Traumhaft schön!

Meine Eltern (rüstige Rentner) und ich haben eine wunderschöne Ferien-bade-wander-woche in dieser traumhaft schönen Finca verbringen dürfen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wurden ausgezeichnet vorab vom Vermieter informiert, sehr herzlich von Nachbarin Carmen empfangen und diskret betreut.

Die Heizung im Haus ist genial für die Wintermonate - wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Kurz gesagt - ein ferfektes Domizil - wir kommen gern wieder und empfehlen die Finca begeistert weiter!

Wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil für Naturliebhaber

Diese Finca empfehlen wir uneingeschränkt weiter! Die ruhige Lage, liebevolle, persönliche, geschmackvolle Einrichtung, typisch kanarische Holzdecken, bis ins Detail eingerichtete Küche (wir sind Hobbyköche) sorgten für ein sofortiges "Ankommen und wohlfühlen". Alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber.

Je nach Lust und Laune konnten wir uns (3 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) eine Terrasse zum Verweilen und Entspannen aussuchen: Die Morgensonne mit Meerblick bei einem Kaffee unterhalb der Küche, mittags im Schatten unter der Zypresse, oder sonnig und windstill am Abend bei einem Glas Wein unterhalb der großen Terrasse. Und stets dieser phantastische Meerblick!

Für den 3. Erwachsenen (27-jähriger Sohn) buchten wir das Studioappartment mit Dachterrasse dazu. Er wollte ein wenig Privatsphäre.

Die Finca bietet sowohl für Wanderer, Inselerkunder, als auch für Badeurlauber einen guten Ausgangspunkt: Viele Wanderungen beginnen in der Nähe, die besten Strände der Insel sind ca. zeitgleich zu erreichen sowie auch der interessante Ort zum Bummeln Los Llanos.

Da es im Garten viel an schönen und außergewöhnlichen Pflanzen zu entdecken gibt, genossen wir zwischendurch die Zeit am/im Haus.

Im Ort gibt es einen winzigen "Supermercado". Die Regale sind bis unter die Decke gefüllt mit allem, was man so zum Leben braucht, auch Brötchen und frisches Obst/Gemüse. Wir waren erstaunt! Er ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für größere Einkäufe gibt es einen gut sortierten Supermarkt in ca. 5-10 Autominuten. In der Finca liegt eine umfangreiche Mappe mit Informationen/Tipps für Restaurants etc. aus. Auch eine Bibiothek ist vorhanden. Bei unserem 3-wöchigen Aufenthalt mochten wir auch die Waschmaschine nicht missen.

Durch den Vermieter fühlten wir uns persönlich und sehr gut betreut. Vor Ort übernahm diese Aufgabe Carmen aus der Nachbarschaft. Sie versorgte uns sogar mit frischem Obst aus ihrem Garten und ist einfach entzückend.

Wir kommen sehr, sehr gern wieder!

Ein erlebnisreicher Urlaub in einer anderen Welt.

Wir fühlten uns in der Finca wie zuhause. Das Haus war sauber und hatte seinen persönlichen Stil.Es lag ruhig in einem Wohngebiet, am Hang mit wunderbarem Blick aufs Meer. Umgeben war es von einem liebevoll gepflegten Garten mit mehreren Terrassen, die man je nach Sonnenstand wählen konnte. Bewundert haben wir die riesige Zypresse. Unser liebster Aufenthaltsort war der Wintergarten. Man hatte den Eindruck in der Natur zu sitzen und war doch vor der Kühle des Abends (April!) geschützt.

El Paso mit seinem großen Supermarkt und seinen Restaurants war nur wenige Kilometer entfernt. Auch sonst ließen sich eine ganze Reihe von Ausflügen machen, vorzugsweise im Süden der Insel. Der Norden ist zwar auch erreichbar, man darf sich jedoch nicht durch eine infolge der vielen Kurven lange Fahrt abschrecken lassen.

Vom Vermieter wurden wir schon zuhause gut betreut. Wir würden jederzeit das Haus weiter empfehlen.

The beaches that exist on La Palma in fine black lava sand, there are 10 - 15 minutes by car. You have a choice between the natural beaches like Charco Verde or Playa Zamora, the well-known and newly arranged beach of Puerto Naos with beach promenade right on the spot, or Playa Nueva, which is also still quite new and boasts wooden deck and restaurant. Most of the beaches there are free showers.

The way the largest city on the island, Los Llanos the Aridane, takes about 10 minutes by car. Here you will find everything you would expect from a small town: Several large supermarkets, various specialty stores (eg also fish.), Pharmacies, restaurants, cafes and a beautiful central plaza with many colonial buildings. In Los Llanos there are also a market, a regular flea market and always small events.

Los Llanos you reach the old Tazacorte, which is small but very attractive and has a welcoming beach promenade with a protected swimming and nice restaurants. The new harbor in the west of the island, Puerto Tazacorte, is located just a few kilometers from here.

From the Finca El Ciprés' You might as well and quickly drive to the south of the island to be there until 1971 caused the volcano Teneguía and the other major volcanic fields and La Palma own salt pans to look at.
