This lovingly built and very well maintained finca is located in the southern Aridanetal at an altitude of approximately 550m. Its appearance is dominated by an ancient and vast cypress (El Ciprés), which donates the entire house shadow that is of use especially in summer. This tree has also given the estate its name. On the grounds there are numerous exotic plants, including orange, lemon and avocado trees from which guests may like to use.

The finca 'El Ciprés' is on a varied, multi-terraced property with about 2000 square meters, of which one on each of the terraces has a truly magnificent view of the sea and mountains. Beneath the land, within sight of the terraces is a property belonging to the green space, play in the children without risk and thereby can be observed. Parking is located directly on the property; Another car park is 50 yards on the plot of the neighbors, who also take care of the house and the well-being of guests and will be your contact for all questions.

The building is a skilful blend of ancient ingredients and modern Spanish style elements. It has been renovated several times and expanded over the past 20 years and has grown to its present architecture.

The house has two apartments that are completely separate and have separate entrances and terraces:

The ground floor apartment consists of a core of two centuries old Pajeros harboring the living room and the master bedroom with a full size bed. From the kitchen is reached by a small flight of stairs, the breakfast terrace, lined with palm trees and succulents. The apartment on the first floor has its own access directly from the parking area. A small staircase with seven steps lead to the front door through which one enters an approximately 40 square meter studio. On the left side is the sleeping area, furnished with a large double bed with a width of 150cm and a large bedroom closet, which takes place the contents of a royal travel chest.

With a half-height room divider separated from the sleeping area is located in the right half of the kitchen is also well equipped with ceramic hob and oven baking and various other accessories, and the seating area with table and chairs. From here you also have access to a small balcony where you can sit with 2 people. The entrance to the shower toilet is right next to the entrance door.

The equipment of the house includes central heating for all rooms and a washing machine that can use free of charge to guests. An Internet connection can be provided on request.

You can also rent these apartments individually or together as a holiday home. The lower apartment is 'exclusively' reserve, ie, the upper house will then remain free, so you have the whole grounds.

In the immediate vicinity, only a few hundred yards away, is a small shop where you can buy practically anything with the exception of fresh meat, what you need for everyday life, of course, fresh bread rolls. Almost every day comes a van selling fresh fish past the house.

COMFORTABLE AND SPACIOUS ACCOMMODATION

We had a very pleasant stay at "El Ciprés". The property is very comfortable and has plenty of space. We particularly enjoyed the bright conservatory that has lovely views to the west. Perfect for watching the sunsets.

The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything needed for preparing meals. We enjoyed making a fire in the evening and relaxing in the lounge.

The location of the property is also excellent. There are many walks within easy reach, including a super hike from St Nicolas (5 minutes drive away) up to the lava fields.The coast is also close by as are the local towns of El Paso and Los Llanos. The National Park is just past El Paso where there are many more hiking options.

There are a number of guides and books in the property although these were all in German. Maybe a few in English would be helpful to non German speaking clients.

All in all we would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay on La Palma.

WUNDERSCHÖNE FINCA

Die Finca ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und absolut gut ausgestattet. Wir haben den Urlaub mit einem Hobbykoch verbracht und der zauberte in der schönen Küche tolle Gerichte und Backwaren. Die Finca lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein und auf den zahlreichen Terrassen findet man zu jeder Tageszeit ein sonniges Plätzchen, der Ausblick aufs Tal und das Meer sind atemberaubend.
Die Vermieter waren sehr hilfsbereit bei allen organisatorischen Fragen im Vorfeld- dafür vielen Dank! Am Ort versorgt den Besucher die wunderbare Carmen- ein Blumenstrauß in jedem Zimmer und ein riesiger Obstkorb steht für ein herzliches Willkommen! Ein rundum toller Urlaub!

A LOVELY FINCA

We enjoyed our stay in this generously laid out and spacious finca. The terraces are lovely, the inside space is also very nice, although the weather was so good that we didn't spend much time inside. The finca is very well situated for exploring the South, but it is central enough to also see the north of the island on day trips. The owners were very helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend El Cypres to others.

The beaches that exist on La Palma with fine black lava sand, there are about 10 - 15 minutes by car. You have a choice between the natural beaches such as Charco Verde and Playa Zamora, the famous and recently redesigned beach of Puerto Naos with beach promenade right on the spot, or Playa Nueva, which is also fairly new and can come up with wooden deck and restaurant. Most of the beaches there are also free showers.

The way into the largest city on the island, Los Llanos of Aridane, also is approximately 10 minutes by car. Here you will find everything you would expect from a small town: Several large supermarkets, various shops (for example, fish), pharmacies, restaurants, cafes and a beautiful central plaza with many colonial buildings. In Los Llanos, there are also a market, a regular flea market and always small events.

From Los Llanos you can also visit the old place Tazacorte, which is small but very appealing and has a welcoming beach promenade with a protected bathing area and nice restaurants. The new harbor in the west of the island, Puerto Tazacorte, is located just a few kilometers from here.

From the FInca 'El Ciprés' you might as well and quickly drive to the south of the island to be there until 1971 formed the volcano Teneguía and the other major volcanic fields and salt pans of La Palma own to look at.
