You know Maui but do you know Maalaea? Maalaea is a small non touristy ocean front village - the most central location on Maui for very easy access to all that our island has to offer. It is the best 'home base' to explore Maui from then come back to relax in our heated pool, on the uncrowded beach or in the shade under our oceanfront trees while your dinner grills on the barbecue. We are on a four mile beach - the longest in the islands. Maalaea Harbor down the street is home to the Maui Ocean Center - a world class aquarium, great restaurants and shops, ocean activities such as whale watching, snorkel cruises, deep sea fishing, or sunset dinner cruises. You can surf right out in front of condo (very rare in Hawaii). There is a world class wave known as the Maalaea Freight Train just down the beach and two very easy and fun waves exactly in front of Kanai a Nalu. People also enjoy snorkeling, beachcombing, surf fishing, or birdwatching. It is a safe beach for children. There is often
surfing right out front of the condo.

We found staying here a pleasure. Beautiful surroundings and decor. Not confining like a hotel room. Couldn't have been nicer for our honeymoon.
