Idyllic Country Southern Comfort

My husband and I and our dog spent a quiet and relaxing week at the Nautical Cottage.
It was spotless, comfortable, away from the crowds and very accomodating.
We were within a short drive to a very private "public" beach that is pet friendly, hikes through the Bon Secur Wildlife Refuge and the Ft. Morgan historical site. Fishing was a short walk to the Bay or drive to the Gulf.
We always seek out spots for oysters on the half shell. There were many to choose from. We tried a new restaurant every day. We also love to cook, and given more time, there is no limit to what you can do given the well appointed kitchen stocked with many of the basics.
Martha was very welcoming, offering up plenty of information and suggestions, and a plate of cookies awaited us on our arrival.
Our dog enjoyed the company of Toby from next door, a well behaved and gentle yellow lab.
We would love to go back and have already discussed the possibility of a longer stay.
We highly recommend this cottage for quiet enjoyment. It was truly a home away from home.
