My wife and my 4-year old daughter stayed in this posh, luxurious condo that sits right in Northstar Village. The unit was 4 stories up so we were able to view the snow-capped mountains in the distance, as well as the skiers down below marching back and forth each day through the village. The most obvious and greatest advantage was the convenience of being in the village - once we parked, we never had to leave during our 4 day stay which was nice, given the snowy weather and having to tote a toddler around. There are more than enough restaurants and activities for a short stay - even if you do not ski or snowboard. The unit itself was in a great location within the village - it wasn't right over the skate rink which we felt would have been much noiser.
Inside, you can't ask for cleaner, newer, more modern furnishings - the granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, flat screen TV, pull-out couch, tiled master bath, glass shower enclosure, etc. The decor was very warm and intimate - and the owner also provided the conveniences of towels, blankets, toiletries, kitchen utensils, condiments, pots & pans and even a washer/dryer.
Lisa the owner was easy to deal with, very accommodating and responsive, even when we had questions during our stay. The price for such a great unit is not cheap - but if you're looking for a relaxing stay without all the hassles of deciding where to drive for this and that, then the value is certainly there. I've stayed in cabins and hotels all over Tahoe and this is one of the best - I highly recommend it.
