SPECTACULAR MAUI DIRECT OCEANFRONT 3 BED / 3 BATH CONDO

This unit is AWESOME! My husband and I plus 2 other couples rented this little slice of heaven (aka: vrbo 190652) for a week, February 23-March 2, 2013. We are seasoned travelers, middle-aged (39-46), blue collar folks who enjoy everything from golf to scuba diving to hanging out at the beach. If you are in search of a smaller complex where all of your neighbors are extremely kind (even let us borrow ketchup), where you don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a beach chair or pool lounge, this is the perfect choice. This unit is oceanfront, ground floor and literally 20 steps to the stairs that lead to your secluded, private beach. Randy is absolutely a gem to work with and the reservation process was seamless. Randy was always very prompt in returning emails and never appeared to tire of my endless questions. The unit itself is very nice; decorated tastefully and one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever seen. We could not have wanted for anything; even when I skeptically looked for a crockpot, it was there. The bathrooms could use a facelift, but they are clean and very functional. The master bathroom is large and the tube is big and deep; I loved that. I should note, one of bathroom showers would not get warm; we reported this to Randy and I am confident that it is resolved by now. A few recommendations: Dollies Pub and Café is within walking distance and the pizza is very good; we got the recommendation on the airplane and so glad we tried it. Aloha Mixed Plate was also recommended and very good. They have minimal seating, so get there early. For the luau, we chose Feast at Lele. It was a highlight of the trip. Here’s a tip, book as far in advance as possible. They seat you from front to back based on when you make your reservation. We made ours months in advance and was in front and right of the stage. Awesome seats! A couple more notes: We struggled on the decision whether to rent a convertible; we ended up splurging and so glad we did. We golfed at Waiehu Golf Course which offered the best value and it was beautiful. We also rented clubs there and were pleased with the selection. On our last day, we took a helicopter tour. We flew with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and was able to negotiate a really good last minute fare. We purchased the flight video, but would not do so again. Aloha!! Paradise is the perfect way to describe our recent trip to Maui! As soon as our group arrived at this condo we were blown away and completely ecstatic. This condo was perfect for our traveling group of three couples. We each had our own room, the showers were big, the washer/dryer combo was so nice (we used it every day), the kitchen was well stocked (dishes and utensils and appliances), the dining/living room/kitchen/lanai were all connected and felt open and spacious. It was cozy and comfortable, well decorated and in the most perfect location. We would continually tell each other how much we loved where our condo was located. When you have never been to Maui it is hard to know where to stay with so many choices, but this was perfect. So close to everything that we wanted to see, so close to so many great beaches, lots of great places to eat nearby, and when we would return we just couldn't get over how this condo seemed like it was away from all the big hotels and busy streets and just in its own little place of Heaven. The Lanai was amazing for rainbows and whale watching and just relaxing and enjoying paradise. Randy was the most amazing to work with. Any time I had questions or worries or needed info he was on the ball and made our stay even better. We also loved the great travel guide that he had made for us to use before and during our stay; it had great information on anything we would want to do while in Maui. We highly recommend this place to anyone staying on Maui. If we can ever make it back to vacation here this will be the first place I look up to see if its available. Mahalo!!

One word: breathtaking! The view from the windows and lanai blew us away and the proximity to the beach was incredible. Just steps to the ocean. We saw whales almost daily as we ate breakfast out on the lanai. We were there with two other couples, so the 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms were ideal for privacy. It is in a great location; within 10 mins. of Lahaina and nearby beaches. Their personalized Maui guidebook was so helpful in finding local beaches and restaurants. It was better than we imagined. We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with a view with us.
