4BR;3 1/2 BA Mountains Vacation Rental Big Sky, Montana USA; sleeps 10

A stream whispers in the canyon behind the house. Lone Peak beckons out the front window, and you only have to walk across the street to strap on your skis and schuss to the lift. This is truly ski in-ski out.

The views of the mountains are spectacular through floor-to-ceiling windows in this four story ultra-modern house. The main floor features a soaring ceiling, thirty feet high, with a free standing chimney from the fireplace that spans the distance. Wood for the fire is stacked in the shed on the far end of the spacious sun deck.

Sheltered under the loft is a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, trash compactor, and a side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker. There is an island with stools for ten, as well as a dining room table.

Both the living room and family room feature large comfortable leather sofas. There are four bedrooms with a king bed in one, a queen in the second, two twin beds in the third, and a queen bed and a queen fold-out in the fourth.

There are three full baths and one half baths. There is an eight person outdoor hot tub with great views. You can follow up with a stint in the sauna.

High definition TV with Satellite (DISH) in living area. Another TV with DVD/VCR in lower level entertainment area.

Also audio component radio/CD in both of these areas.

There is a washer and dryer, and all linens are supplied.

The house is a wonderful place for making family and friend vacation memories!

We had a great time at Big Sky in March 2012. The snow conditions were not the best, but time with family is always special. The house worked out well for us. It was close to the drop off/ticket area. Ski in/ski out is not the most convenient, but it is doable. Everyone including little grandkids enjoyed the outside hot tub. We were all able to sit around the large kitchen counter for snacks and meals. We wish there had been an upstairs shower, but otherwise all was good. Thanks again for the use of your home.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Superb

This was our second stay at Systole and it was because of the house and the location that we deceided to return for another holiday in Big Sky. On both occasions the owners, Julie and Kent, have been nothing but friendly and helpful during both e-mail and telephone communications. The house is clean and comfortable and ideally located for ski-in, ski-out, (you can literally put your skis on at the front door and not need to take them off again until you return) as well as an easy walk into the centre for evening food. Whilst staying Maya, who looks after the house, was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I thoroughly recommend this house for great skiing in Big Sky.

Systole Winter Rental

Our group stayed at the Systole house in January 2009 and liked it enough that it influenced our choice of resort destination for 2012. The price is reasonable, and the location great. The home is well suited for a group, with a huge eat-in counter to grab a quick breakfast before a day on the slopes, or to enjoy a mid-day snack. The location is convenient enough that we stopped back for lunch every day we weren't skiing off the Dakota lift.

Overall, a very comfortable house.

Finally, the view of Lone Peak from both the Great Room and the hot tub is phenomenal!

Ski in/Ski out? Not in our experience unless you consider skiing down a road ski in/ski out approx. a quarter of a mile. The town plowed the road so well that on our last day, Friday, skiing down the road we had to remove our skis 3 times, not to ski over asphalt. We complained that 2 pots were rusty & the manager/cleaning woman merely shrugged her shoulders. We asked for laundry detergent, 4 times, because she did not understand the word & we were told that other renters used too much so she would not provide it. We asked for paper towels & were told "there is a half a roll". Finally after insisting, she provided a full roll. In 14 years of renting 2 weeks a year, this was the worst unit we have ever stayed in and none of us would ever consider it again, even at half the price.

Great Location

This place is ideally located - you can easily ski in and out and even walk to the main center for a dinner meal. Each of the rooms are large enough to make one comfortable. The extra room on the lower level was ideal for the 10 month old as it was 2 floor below the main level and thus quiet enough to allow her to take naps without being woken by the 9 and 12 year old's noise. The large TV with cable made watching all the holiday football games enjoyable and the large counter to eat at meant everyone could be seated together. All in all a great time at a greaat place to stay - two thumbs up.
