Environment
The famous nature reserve "Riserva naturale Orientata faunistica Oasi di Vendicari" between Noto and Marzamemi in the province of Syracuse. With a length of 8km, the 1512-acre oasis of Vendicari is considered one of the most beautiful coasts of Sicily.
Special mention two of its most most beautiful beaches are: Calamosche (among the ten most beautiful beaches of Italy classifies) and Marianedde. But not only the crystal clear waters and beautiful beaches are the attractions Vendicaris: Ruins of small churches, cemeteries, and the remains of houses, evidence from the Byzantine period, the "Torre Sveva" (Swabian tower), the "Tonnara" (from "tonno "Tuna =), its salt marshes, all make this area by the brilliant blend of unspoiled nature and historical sights to a magical land.
