Best Service we ever had!

This was supposed to be just a 3 day layover on our way to the St. Lucia Jazz Festival in May of 1999; but it ended up being a vacation in itself due to the fabulous personal attention we received from Mack, our cook/guide at the property. We were able to pack in an entire day's sightseeing to both Ocho Rios and Negril!

The hse was very well maintained and the linens were changed daily with colorful sheets. Mack found taxis for our day tours or short trips into town, gave us great restaurant recommendations and called in craft vendors so we could shop 'at home'. He also accompanied us on our tours and prevented the street vendors' from trying to sell us something at every turn.

The hse is located in an upscale subdivision a few miles outside of Montego Bay set on a hillside with a lovely view of the ocean - the best view is from the pool. The grounds are full of flowers. The master bedroom is at the back of the hse with a garden tub, huge closet and french doors to the back patio courtyard. Another suite with a queen-size bed is on the the front of the hse off the foyer.

It is not within walking distance to anything which would usually not suit our needs; but the abundance of cheap taxi transportation makes it a gem. Having our own guide at our disposal was truly a treasure starting with being met at the airport.

What a rip off!!!

First of all I would say to anyone ALWAYS make sure you get a receipt for any deposit or payment and check carefully any contract. Most people will give you a refund if you are not happy but NOT here. This place is not worth the money and where do I begin. There is lots of dust everywhere because the owner collects things from around the world (mostly books and lots of other stuff full of dust) I dont believe the place has been properly maintained since 2007 when there was a different housekeeper. The place is surrounded by lots and lots of bushes all around (NOT FRUIT TREES) because of this there are lots of mosquitos especially here. The washing machine does not work nor did the shower, the kitchen is in need of great repair and had cockroaches and worms. This place needs more than TLC. Everything else advertised costs extra - what you get for your money is a roof over your head!! There is NO security by the way. There are much better places to stay and atleast you will get what you pay for.
Owner's Response: .The Villa has the same maid and garden service for the past 10 years..this guest seemed pleased with the Villa in 2007,yet infers that a year later that we now have all sorts of pests and dust etc.I can assure you that the Villa which has been serving guests for over 15 years is still being kept up to the standards that has made it one of the most popular Villas in the Montego Bay area.The guest in question had rented the Villa for a month,but after meeting up with local friends 2 weeks into her stay she wanted money back to move to Negril.When I refused the refund because we had turned down other guests who wanted the place in the height of the tourist season,she decided to write this vicious review.It is complete fiction.

The villa is in nice setting but it needs a little TLC. Comfortable but not my style. It is a short distance to the beach and nightlife which was perfect. Our host was nice and knows where to get everything we needed.
Owner's Response: The Villa is furnished in a Eclectic/fusion style with furnishings and collectibles from different parts of the world,with lots of books etc.I understand that some guests may prefer a more contemporary/hotelroom look.Glad to hear they had a good time and were happy with the services provided by their host.
