Welcome to our Manuel Antonio home. This home features a full staff, five-bedrooms, five-baths, luxury Villa and Guest House in an unusually private and beautiful setting bordering the 50-meter Maritime Protection Zone. The Villa and Guest House are perched high above the Pacific, with ever present sea breezes and sounds of surf crashing below. Our beach (Playa la Macha), which is usually deserted, is just a 10-minute walk from the Villa. Ours is the only residence in Manuel Antonio with a cove all to itself and one of the few close enough to the water to hear the surf crashing against the rocks.
The views of the ocean and sunset from the Villa are breathtaking. Wildlife and tropical flowers abound on our property and in the surrounding rain forest. Monkeys, countless birds, and an occasional sloth are regular visitors to nearby trees and are easily spotted from the Villa or from our terraces and swimming pool.
A Special Vacation Home: Perched above the Pacific, no large home in the area is closer to the water or has more stunning views.
The house is of the finest construction in teak, cedar, almond, and terra cotta, which are all sited in beautifully landscaped grounds. Each bedroom has a view, a king or queen bed, its own bathroom, and a writing desk. Two of the bedrooms have their own living areas, in addition to the bright and breezy main living space. Original artwork is hung throughout the house.
Most guests remark that they have never been so pampered. Without question the Villa's finest amenity is its staff, who provide full housekeeping, concierge, maintenance, gardening and laundry services seven days a week and will cook authentic Costa Rican dishes for you every day.
Many homes in the area are either quite remote or packed into densely populated neighborhoods. Villa La Macha is unique: isolated and yet just a mile from town; close to the water, but with no other houses in view.
Fine Amenities.: We visit the house annually and continuously maintain it to our very high standards, for example repainting and re-varnishing the wood each year. We have added all the amenities you could want for a perfect vacation, including fine sheets, towels and china, our favorite spa shampoos and soaps, 42'' plasma TV, two Bose Wave stereos, Satellite, a fax, two phone lines, a library of 150 of our favorite books, and a booklet we wrote recommending for our guests our favorite restaurants, beaches, and tours.
An almost endless string of secluded coves and tropical beaches and the charming, well-supplied town of Quepos are minutes away. Five miles down the road is Manuel Antonio National Park. The waters offshore offer some of the best marlin and sailfish sport fishing in the world. A new golf course is less than 30 minutes away.
