a perfect desert oasis

This was my 2nd time staying at the Mitchell Gold Villa, and it was even better than I remembered.
I stayed with a big group of friends (we used all 4 bedrooms) and everyone kept telling me how much they loved the house, how comfortable it was, how nicely maintained, etc. The landscaping outside is very nice too, with a nice stretch of green lawn.
Everybody also loved the covered-patio area, with the built-in outdoor fireplace. It was the perfect spot for keeping cool during the day, and even better at night, with the fire to keep things cozy as the night grew chilly.
The kitchen is fully-equipped and well stocked with everything you need to cook (and we cooked quite a bit) and the outdoor BBQ grill worked great (and it's HUGE! You could cook like 30 burgers at a time if you wanted to) and the cabinets are stocked with both plastic and glass cups, so you never have to worry about broken glass outside.
The bedrooms are super-comfy, they all have TV's, the wi-fi is strong enough for everyone to use, and it was easy to figure out how to operate the pool and jacuzzi.
I just can't say enough about this place. The neighborhood is nice, it's very conveniently located, the views from the pool area are spectacular... with the mountains rising up in the background, looking almost close enough to touch... one of my favorite things about Palm Springs is the mountain views, and since I can see the mountains from both the Jacuzzi and the Pool, I was in bliss all weekend.
It's a very large and spacious house... the pictures don't even do it justice. My friends kept saying, when we arrived "Wow it's so much bigger than I thought!"
Overall, it just has a very mellow, relaxing, peaceful vibe. The kind of place where you really don't want to leave when it's time to check out. I can't wait to come back.
