This cottage is octagonally shaped with high ceilings and soft recessed lightlng. Large windows open up to the oak forest around and a private patio..
It has a Queen-size bed, a large closet, a full bath with a bathtub and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a coffee maker, wine glasses and silverware for a small private supper.
The guest cottage has its own deck with lounge chairs and a patio with a birdbath and a bird-feeder, often covered with chirruping birds.
Just down the road is a seasonal creek with small sand beaches. The creek runs between October and May, and occaionally dries out in the high summer.
The redwoods are majestic and beautiful, and a home to large birds: wild turkeys, condors.
About the setting:
The cottage is located on a five-acre property, within the vicinity of a house but at a good distance. It is surrounded by a private patio. It has an area to relax and listen to the birds and the sounds of the forest outside, or plenty of hiking.

This area is rich in activities: riding, hiking, biking, golf, tennis, art, wine-tasting, excellent food and so much more.
You can hike up the road to the preserve, or visit Garland park for excellent hiking, as well as the numerous other parks that are close by.
If you are more adventurous, try the week-long back-packing trips offered in the Tassajara area.
Excellent biking everywhere on the country roads.
Nearby Carmel Valley Ranch and Quail Lodge offer Peter-Hay designed golf courses, and some of the finest restaurants in the area.
Carmel Valley Athletic club has excellent tennis courts and private lessons, as well as a swimming pool, aerobics, tennis and opportunities for a workout in spectacular setting.
Excellent horseback riding in many equestrian centers around, most notably Stonepine, Holman Ranch and the European Horse Center.
The area is famous for its wine-tasting and excellent wineries are located near-by: Bernardus, Chateau Julien, Talbotts and Georis.
