The most popular lakes located in the Finger Lakes region are: Canandaigua, Cayuga, Conesus, Owasco, Otisco, Honeoye, Keuka, Seneca and Skaneateles. Although each has a name of its own, these thin glacial lakes are most often referred to as a group: the Finger Lakes. This region includes two other famous waterways as well—the historic Erie Canal and Lake Ontario, one of America’s five, fresh-water Great Lakes—plus plenty of navigable rivers and more than 1,000 waterfalls. The 14 counties comprising the Finger Lakes region are Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, and Yates.

Things to Do:
HIKING: Harriet Hollister Spencer State Park: Although it offers no direct access with Honeoye Lake, this state park has a breathtaking view of the southern end of the lake from high atop Canadice Hill, 2,200 feet in elevation. Numerous trails cater well to hiking and biking and the scenic vistas are popular picnic locations. The far-above-average snowfall makes this park a favorite among winter sport enthusiasts.
Honeoye Inlet Wildlife Management Area: This newly purchased state land encompasses 2,100 acres along the Honeoye Inlet at the south end of the lake. Comprised of meadows, forested upland and marshland, this area is largely undeveloped.
Wesley Hill Nature Preserve: What this 390 acre preserves lacks in size it makes up for in character. The Finger Lakes Land Trust preserves this collection of upland woodlands, mature forests and steep gullies.
Grimes Glen County Park: This well-preserved Finger Lakes glen is the perfect excursion on a hot summer day!

Guestbook comments from the owner
The property is like being at home, with all the amenities one would expect. The location is really nice and convenient to the stores in town and also only a house away from the beach. The home is roomy and lots of light coming in. The bathroom and bedroom on the first floor were a huge plus for us. The other bedrooms are roomy and we were never cramped during our stay. The property is right on the water and could dock our boat right out front. The owner was attentive and really easy to work with, asking us numerous times during our stay if we needed anything and checked to see if everything was good with our stay. The fishing was pretty good also, although mostly Bass, but it was a fun stay overall. Thanks for having us at your property - much obliged!
