It is a beautiful old granite Irish cottage, located on our own large sloping southern property facing the Atlantic with dream view of the sea and islands. In a quiet area, the cottage is situated near a fisherman's village for music, dining and shopping. There is a large apartment for six persons on the ground floor: living room with fireplace, a large kitchen/dining room, three bedrooms, hallway, bathroom and two winter gardens (one large one small) and at the first floor there is a studio for another two persons also with a living room/ kitchen and fireplace, one bedroom for two, hallway and bathroom. You can get to the studio by staircases from inside and outside.

Schönes Irisches Cottage (deutscher Besitzer und deutscher Hausmeister). Das einzig Störende sind die freilaufenden Hunde des Nachbarn.

Dem Titel ist nichts hinzufügen. wir waren richtg glücklich dort.
Auf eine genauere Beschreibung möchte ich gar nicht eingehen, weil wohl jeder das Haus anders erlebt. für uns hat alles gepasst.

alle haben sich sehr wohl gefuehlt: jugendliche, junge erwachsenenund auch die eltern. herrlicher blick auf den atlantik, inseln, landschaft und viel ruhe. regen macht nichts aus,dank dem wintergarten und dem wärmenden kaminfeuer.tippps von frank waren toll, ob wanderrrouten, straende und jederzeit errreichbar.
fuer surfer ebenso geeignet wie fuer wanderbegeisterte, leseratten und bergsteiger.
diesen schoenen ort zu erreichen ist gar nicht so weit. von dublin airport in knapp fuenf stunden oder gleich mit dem flieger zum donegal airport. die wegbeschreibung ist ziemlich genau und wir konnten es mitten in der nacht gut finden.
die ausstattung ist nett und sauber.
wir werden auf jeden fall versuchen einmal wiederzukommen und es auch weiter empfehlen.

sehr angenehmes Irish Cottage

Schönes sauberes Ferienhaus mit tollem Wintergarten in einer super Lage um den Norden Irlands zu erkunden.
Die Ausstattung erinnert angenehm an die ursprüngliche irische Einrichtung ohne den westlichen Komfort vermissen zu lassen (z.B.irische offene Kamine mit tollem Torfgeruch)
Der Wintergarten ermöglicht den Urlaub auch bei schlechten Wetter bis weit in die Abendstunden zu genießen (im Sommer ist es bis 23.30 hell !!)
Der sehr gut informierte Housekeeper Frank hilft sowohl mit detailierten Infos um "Land und Leute" weiter als auch mit der Torf Beschaffung oder bei anderen kleinen Problemen.
Unser 4-Wöchiger Urlaub war sehr erholsam und wir werdem unserem drittem Irlandaufenthalt dort sicher einen weiteren folgen lassen ...

Immer wieder

Vom Süden hinauf in den Nordwesten haben wir nach vielen sterilen Ferienhäusern endlich dieses gefunden und sind seit 2000 nun schon das 6. Mal dort gewesen -am 6.9.08 zurück gekommen. Eigentlich spricht das ja für sich, hier dennoch ein paar Gründe: absolute Ruhe, ein herrlicher Blick, ein sauberes, gemütliches Haus - so dass auch Regentage, lesend vor dem Kamin sehr schön sind.
Nicht weit zu langen Sandstränden zum spazieren gehen oder baden, viele sehr interessante Tagesausflüge, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.
Ganz wichtig Frank als Ansprechpartner für alle Eventualitäten, der absolut zuverlässig ist und alles prompt erledigt.
