Pool and hot tub. Outside covered pavilion complete with flat screen, fireplace, seating and dining area. A/C, Washer and Dryer, sits on 10 acres of land. Wireless internet. Amazing sunsets overlooking the hill country. The home has a lot of history, including visits by President LBJ when it was just the outdoor pavilion and hunting lodge (built in the 1920s and 1940s, respectively). Renovation and addition in 1997. This is a very special place.

WOW..........what a home

All the facilitlies needed.....................and more! Loved the outside lounge where we spent all our evenings. Overall this home exceeded our expectations and we will be suggesting this to our friends in the UK. We had the most relaxing time possible here. The views were amazing and the wildlife walking on the grounds just topped the stay. To complete the picture, the owners were extremely helpful and available throughout our stay.

A little piece of heaven

My husband and I visited this property for an anniversary present to ourselves and just fell in love with it!! So private and peaceful and secluded!! There were so many things to rave about this piece of property but the outdoor lounging area around back with the fireplace and mounted HDTV could have been our favorite. We want to come in the summer next time so we can enjoy the beautiful in ground pool. We can't wait to return to this Texas Hill Country Home.

this is the place to stay in TEXAS HILL COUNTRY

What can I say but this is the home to rent and make your Headquarters for your visit to Hill Country! The home is high atop a hill in the Sunset Canyon area, one of the nicest sections of Dripping Springs, or Dripp'in if you live in the area.
The house is roomy, nicely decorated, well appointed, clean, quite, lot's of wild life to enjoy!
The Master suite and bath are huge and the bed is to die for. My husband and I are going to buy this same mattress for our home. Best sleep we have had in awhile
There are books for reading and to learn about local places to see and go, games, pool floats, padded patio furniture, wood for the fireplaces these folks thought of it all.
And you are not far off Hwy 290 which is convenient when setting out for those day trips across Hill Country.
You are close to the best cities and places to eat and party in Hill Country. Nutty Browns, Salt Lick BBQ, The Oasis, Oak Creek Cafe (Dripping Springs) Wineries and of course Austin, Luckenbach Frederickberg and if you have the time a day trip to San Antonio, maybe an hour away!
Grocery and convenience stores, (farmers market in the summer months), all close by.

My only complaint is..............we sould not stay longer ;)

We will be back in the near future, and next time I plan to take more time to relax and enjoy the countryside instead of running around to wedding events!
And the owners are wonderful. They are quick to respond, and pleasant!
One more comment, this is the 2nd home we have rented from HomeAway. The last one was in Tombstone, AZ. It too was a fantastic home to rent. HomeAway is our newest Travel Accomodations website!
I could go on, but you might miss an opportunity to rent this wonderful retreat!

This house was even more than we expected. I've never rented a house before, and was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and neat the home was and how amazing the views and pool were. The hot tub was nice to have and the outside entertainment area was perfect for evening entertainment. I highly recommend this home!

This is a chaming southwest themed home that is very cozy; the winner though is the Million dollar view-spectacular! With exception of cooking and sleeping, my four sisters and I hardly spent any time inside. I hppe to rent this incredible home again!
