Located in the heart of the John McLoughlin Historic District - “The End of the Oregon Trail”, take in one of the many museums, antique stores or cafes within walking distance or take the 'free' trolley car. A quick 12 miles from all the excitement of downtown Portland, centrally located close to shopping, dining and outdoor recreation.

3000 sq. ft. and 3 levels of restored beauty. Extensive original woodwork, 10’ ceilings, built-ins and leaded glass. Refinished hardwood floors throughout with rich area rugs.

This is the home is very comfortable for a family of 2 or a family of 17 with a small breakfast room for four and a formal dining room with china service for 20.

2 bedrooms on the upper lever including the king size master with a small nursery, 2 bedrooms on the main level, and our new 'bunkroom' off the game room in the basement provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for every family member.

The living room features a river rock/gas fireplace and a 42” flatscreen TV with Sony stereo, DVD, HDMI and deluxe cable. The entertainment center is filled with a selection of movies, games, books and area guides for both young and old.

The game room in the basement has a pool table, air hockey table, foosball, 3 full size arcade games, a bar, a refrigerator stocked with pop, a large TV with X-box, Wii, PS3 and approx. 250 movie library, we also have appx. 25 board games.

Our spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a weekend or a month. The cupboards are stocked with all the basics (and the not so basic) Starbucks coffee to soy sauce, garlic press to mini chopper. If you need something we do not have, I am happy to provide it.

There is a sunny glass enclosed porch to enjoy your morning coffee and a private rooftop deck for a BBQ, We have a very large and private fenced yard with an additional BBQ and lots of tables and chairs.

Our second visit...

We have returned to Portland and were happy to find the 1908 House available for our use. Thanks again for a wonderful place to make a "base" camp for our Norther adventures. Once again it was stocked to the hilt with all that we could possibly think of. We love your kitchen and the fact that you have included all we need to prepare our meals at the house. And what a great BBQ! We sat by the firepit in the rain! It was just too nice.

See you again in the Spring.

Our family really enjoyed their stay. Everyone said they would love to come back.
You have thought of everything to make it like being at home but with extra trimmings, hot tub, game room and lots of areas for gathering,reading or just relaxing in a quiet area. We had 14 people and we didn't feel crowded even when we had the rehearsal dinner with an additional 10.
The 1908 House was a blessing to our family. We were all together and this made prep for the wedding so much easier. It really helped to make the trip affordable for our family. Thank you.

West Coast Meets East Coast-PERFECT HOUSE!

We just spent Spring Break with 5 boys ranging in age from 10-14 and the house was just perfect!!!! My brother flew in from NY and the house was easily accessible from the Portland airport. Oregon City is a great, little city and it is close to some of the best coastal towns-Seaside and Cannon Beach. It is a hop, skip and jump to Portland to visit OMSI and see a Blazers/Brooklyn Nets game. The basement is every kid's dream and the living area was cozy- a home away from home. We even caught some sun rays on the front deck:)

Cozy House for the Holiday

The 1908 house was a good place for a family reunion/birthday celebration. Access from the airport was easy for out of state relatives. It was great to have a Christmas tree in the living room for family gifts. Only a few additions would have made it better but perhaps not easy since it's an older house: more lighting in the living room (knitters request:) and a handrail at the front door steps would have made it easier for older folk (understood that accessibility was not to be expected). Otherwise, a nice place to gather with family! Thank you, Lisa!

Great house for our gals weekend.Well stocked kitchen.Accomodates 6-7 people easily.The owner was easy to work with and got back with us promptly.We enjoyed checking out the sweet town of Oregon City and found people to be very friendly.It would have been nice to have had a 2nd shower.Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
