Fabulous Stay at Coconut Corners in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii
Review Submitted: May 12, 2010
Date of Stay: April 2009
Recently my husband and I had the good fortune to stay at Coconut Corners for two weeks this past April. We were very happy with our decision. The suite is exactly as the photos show; quite spacious and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances, dishes, and pots/pans that you will need to feed a family and this definitely helps out with keeping down expenses at restaurants. The dining area and living room are very comfortable and the bedroom is quite large with a King-sized bed. Greg or Cindy are always available should you need them, but they are very non-intrusive. There is a small lanai at the entrance to the suite where it is nice to eat breakfast and listen to the birds singing at dawn. We really appreciated having the BBQ available, as well as the washer & dryer, beach chairs and boogey boards. I would definitely recommend this place to others. It is like having your own home in Hawaii. Coconut Corners is about a ten minute drive to some incredibly beautiful beaches in Kailua, but it is also central enough that you can make it into Honolulu and Waikiki within a short driving time. It is also easy to get up to North shore from here. I would recommend going to the Farmer's Market behind Long's Drugs on Thursday's (go just before 5 pm for the best selections) as prices are much cheaper than in grocery stores. We had dinner at the Formaggio Grill on our last evening and it was simply wonderful (if you want a quieter area ask to be seated in the "wine tasting room") ... it was a Saturday night and the front restaurant was quite noisy and jammed, whereas the back was quiet and quite romantic. Pinky's was also great, especially for lunch. Coconut Corners is a home away from home where you can unwind, relax, and enjoy a wonderful holiday.
