* WOW * A REAL VACATION HOME in ALBUQUERQUE!!
Submitted: February 28, 2010

Our family came together from several different states during the Christmas holiday time. We finally decided on a house that we believed would suit our group of 12. After several conversations with the owner and reading all of these guest comments we went ahead and booked it. Can you tell I was skeptical? I have rented so called vacation rentals before and the pictures were not "worth a thousand words". When we arrived the kids busted throught the door like it was the first X-mas present to be opened and they were estatic with the gift inside. Just inside the door was a real pool table. By that I mean a heavy slate commercial table. Inside the game room was a full regulation size air hockey table, dart board, Texas-hold-em table with case of chips and cards, a full entertainment center with a large TV & Playstation II with a dozen games and a full cabinet of board games for all ages. It was a sunny day in December when they ran outside and flew open the cover to find a crystal clear, large, hot tub awaiting them. The kids played non-stop, ran in and out of the hot tub and on one day gathered up several of the park toys (frisbees and footballs)and walked over to the local park (about a block) for a fun day in the sun and cool air.
Now the adults were a different story! Once inside we went looking for what we needed to buy for the kitchen to be able to cook for 12 for a week and what a suprise we found. Pots, pans, 2 ovens, 5 burner stove, huge refrigerator, plenty of plates/bowls/glasses, Folgers coffee packs/creamor/sugar/Splenda waiting to be made, spices, oils, flour, two sinks and the kitchen was huge so several people could work in it at the same time. The living room is big and plenty of space and Jim (the owner) went & cut a live tree for us & provided decorations & lights. It smelled like an old fashion Christmas with a fresh tree, a ham and a turkey cooking at the same time. Since I booked the house and made all the arrangements I picked the master bedroom and I have to say I slept GREAT! That mattress was great and every bed in the house had quality high thread sheets. Nobody had a complaint about anything.
The only advise I can give is book early as we couldn't get the dates we wanted and do not shop at the local Wal-Mart! It is close but also serves some very interesting characters. Drive a little further and go to Whole Foods, better cliental and food.
To Jim - thank you for our best Christmas ever! We are planning next year already.
