The Tahoe Ski Chalet is a lodge-style home, with three-bedrooms, two-baths and it sleeps eight. It features an over-sized great room with a vaulted ceiling, a gorgeous used-brick FIREPLACE, and an antique Conestoga wagon wheel chandelier. The FOOSBALL TABLE is there for hours of entertainment!!

Enjoy the views from the large windows on each side of the fireplace that look out to conservancy land, or wander out to the deck for barbecuing or lounging in the HOT TUB.

After a long day on the slopes, washing coins in the slots, or shopping the outlets, the experience of sitting in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine or a mug of hot chocolate just can't be beat! The home is centrally located within five to seven minutes of world-class skiing, casinos, restaurants -- and, of course, beautiful Lake Tahoe. The home is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, protected from traffic and tourist noise; and it's less than one block from a national forest preserve which is perfect for hiking and biking in the summer. For the avid hiker, there is a gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe from the top of the hill. On your way, you'll come to a meandering stream -- complete with falls, where the kids can enjoy water fun while the adults enjoy a picnic lunch. It's perfect for those educational nature hikes

After a long day of sporting activities or shopping at the outlets, try relaxing in the soothing Hot Tub, or lounge on the chalet's large deck while cooking steaks on the gas barbecue. If you prefer to cook inside, the kitchen is fully stocked with microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes, etc. All you have to do is buy the food. And when the day is done, each of the 3 bedrooms have comfortably appointed beds (2 kings, 1 queen) and remote controlled televisions. This home is located in South Lake Tahoe, California, which is within minutes of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Valley, Sierra at Tahoe, Kirkwood, Harrah's, Hrveys, Horizon, Caeser's and Lakeside Inn gambling casinos. The home itself is located in popular Montgomery Estates, off Pioneer Trail, which is only 5 minutes from Heavenly. The area is surrounded by National Forest and is great for hiking, mountain biking and snow shoeing. It has a lovely neighborhood and is very peaceful and quiet.

$400 Down payment to secure reservation

Our policy is that a reservation is confirmed only when we actually receive the down paymennt. Once received, the availability calendar will be changed. The down payment reserves the home and the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival, or 90 days prior for holidays.

$135 Non-refundable cleaning fee
10% El Dorado County Room Tax

Cancellation:
When we are notified 60 days prior first day of the rental, full refund of the rental amount will be made. When cancellation is given for a shorter period of time, less than 60 days (90 days for holidays), no refund will be made until the cabin is re-rented for an equal or greater period of time. A fee of $75 will be applied against all confirmed reservations that are canceled.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Great location. Rustic and relaxing.

We stayed here with our young kids and my mother and had a wonderful four days. There was plenty of sleeping space and a great living area for us to hang out, eat together, do the puzzles and play table soccer.
It is not modern but that was part of the charm for us. We will return!

We loved the new updated kitchen counter, sink and floors. Such an improvement over the old. We had a great time again, and we always think of the house as our own little getaway. Love all the new Tahoe décor you added this last year. It makes the house feel so Tahoey!

Girls Getaway

Lisa and I got a group of girls together for “girl time”, and some snowboarding. I had stayed at another home that Cheryl manages, the Zephyr Cove Chateau, and had such a wonderful time last summer, that the four of us decided to try the smaller Tahoe Ski Chalet. We absolutely loved the location, which is just minutes from Heavenly, and such a convenient central location. At the same time, it is a very quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was just what we needed at the end of the day. Loved the fireplace, and the beds were comfy.

Great cozy spot in prime location in South Lake Tahoe. Seven of us comfortably fit into the cabin. It was clean and easy to find off Highway 50. Four miles up the road and you're in Nevada right by Harrah's, Harveys and Montbleiu casinos. Close to Zephyr cove where we got to boat and hang out lakeside. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great location and comfort!

Wonderful Experience

My family had a wonderful experience at this property. It was comfortable and clean and had everything you could need. The hot tub and foosball table were a hit with the teens. The neighborhood was peaceful and friendly. The owner was easy to work with and very accomidating. I cannot wait until I have an excuse to go back to South Lake again! I will definately look to see if this property is available. I have already had friends asking for the link to this property so they can check it out for themselves. Most restful and peaceful vacation I have had in years. I would like to rent it in the winter and sit by that beautiful fireplace.
