Every town has one -- that big antique house that is just steps away from Main Street. There's always something going on there -- a family barbecue in the backyard, fresh bread baking in the oven, some work being done in the front yard... There is always a fresh batch of cookies whenever you stop to visit. And no matter what time you decide to visit, you are always welcomed with open arms and offered some of those luscious cookies. And after your visit, you never go away empty-handed; that loaf of fresh bread and a bag full of fresh vegetables seem to just appear as you step off the front porch. This has been our family home since 1973. It has been well cared for and lived in for many, many years. Our family has grown up and moved on, so now we have opened our home up to you and your family so that you may enjoy Cape Cod the way we do. The house has three large decks to relax on, and a large, well-maintained yard to play in.

Located at 255 Old Harbor Road, this home is exactly 1/2 mile from the center of town. Half way between the Chatham Rotary and Shore Road. A wonderful location - walking distance to the Friday night Band Concerts, Chatham A's ball games, tennis courts, playgrounds, Eldredge Public Library, Monomoy Theatre, and lots more. Many options for 'round the block' walks and good lunch shops within a short bike ride. Beaches are in every direction, ocean beaches, bay beaches, ponds - the farthest beach is about 7 miles away, the closest is about 1/2 mile away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Arrival Time is 3PM --- Departure Time is 10AM
  • If you are interested in booking some time at this home, all I need is your name and address. A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required upon signing the lease. The week is not guaranteed until I receive your initial deposit. The second half of the deposit, plus the cleaning fee ($100), plus the fully refundable security deposit ($500) is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
  • Any liability/damages/additional cleaning fees will be taken from the security deposit, but will not be limited to the amount of the deposit. I will give you an itemized listing of any damages and return the balance by the end of the rental season when the proper repairs can be made. Security deposits with no damages will be returned within 30 days.

Milk, cookies, and conversation in the kitchen... board games in the dining room... TV in the living room. Or you can read a book and listen to the rain on the covered front porch. Our home is conveniently located within walking distance of shopping, museums, libraries, beaches, famous Chatham Band concerts, local baseball games, and the local fishing pier for fresh seafood. Our family has stayed at this lovely home for 3 years and we love it. The home is very comfortable, clean, very close to Oyster Beach and downtown (easily walkable). We highly recommend it.
