A great place but..........

The owners made the process of reserving the villa a breeze. The unit is beautifully decorated with a great kitchen including all the appliances and extras you could want. The raspberry and green floral colors were refreshing for the beach. It was obvious that these villa is lovingly cared for by the owners. The balmy spring like weather allowed me to relax on the porch, mesmerized by the lagoon view of a floating log which turned out to be an lazy Kiawah alligator. The beach was an easy walk through the complex; not quite warm enough to enjoy more than a brisk walk though.
Now for the BUT.......
The king size bed was horribly uncomfortable, very hard and unforgiving. Too bad that a little more care was not taken in selecting the mattress because otherwise the bedroom was nicely appointed and the connecting bath was a popping raspberry color. The other disappointment was that the villa was advertised as having broadband wireless internet which was not true. Apparently the complex has WiFi but owners must subscribe. Since I was there on business as well as pleasure it was very inconvenient to have to find internet access elsewhere.
The price was fair for the property compared to other options on the island. Use some of that rental money to get a new bed and sign up for WiFi.
