Truly a Home Away From Home

From the spectacular sunrises to majestic mountains, great blue herons and other wild life; from the mountain log cabin atmosphere to the modern amenities; from wireless internet, and t.v. to rockers on the porch, it is a home we miss when we are away from it. "Jump in the lake" is a great thing to do from the deep water dock, but it is equally fun to get into our kyaks from the small (sometimes submerged) beach. There is space to get our wave runners up on a lift. (Or a large boat would fit.) Fishing is great, really really good. Neighbors are friendly and water skiing is fun. There is plenty of sunning space and lots of shade.
There are many things to do in the area. We really enjoyed going to Bedford to the amazing "D Day" Memorial. Also, met lots of friendly folks at nearby antique, grocery, and furniture stores.( It is close enough to towns to be convenient, yet out in the country atmosphere.) At the end of the day the hot tub awaits to soothe tired muscles, and then into brand new beds. We love this property so much we have been several times and take friends with us. A lot of thought has been used to make things comfortable and homey. Clean & attractive, but doggie is allowed. (Not overly fancy.)
People with handicaps would be able to gain entrance with 2 steps into 1st floor. Basement is 1 step in from a sloping gravel walkway, tricky for a wheelchair. Main bedroom is on first floor as is 1 bath. Part of the dock is easy on & off, but the party deck is up a flight. The large porch is a good place for small children to play, and the little beach is also. The owners were great to us and the cleaning staff was helpful and kind. Altogether a welcoming experience. NOT a "cookie cutter" place. Unique and relaxing.
