Villa del Sol

Everything about our trip last month to Villa del Sol was wonderful! It was our first trip to the D.R. but will not be our last! We found the country and people to be beautiful. Joe did a great job of organizing us for the trip. From the moment we arrived at the airport, Joe had everything all lined up for us to start enjoying our vacation. All the people involved were nothing but helpful and well organized. Julio had us picked up from the airport and at the Villa in next to no time; Gabino was there on Monday morning to make sure we were all settled in; and Gus arrived right after breakfast our first morning to help us get lined up with the tours we wanted to do. The best part of the whole experience though was Paulina. We have traveled to several different islands, but we have never rented a place with a cook/housekeeper before! Paulina was really delightful. We knew "un poco" Spanish, but Paulina was very patient with our attempts at the language and she prepared tasty meals too! Our favorite spot was the galleria; we generally started our day and ended our day there enjoying the beautiful countryside and weather! What we enjoyed about our trip to the D.R. was the fact that the people were really friendly and there are plenty of things to do and see, or not if you chose that. Villa del Sol was a very comfortable home to stay in, and Joe was really wonderful to work with. Joe, we hope to return soon! Lisa, Ron, Lori and Bruce
