he villa is well situated; approximately 10min walk from downtown Marigot Bay. Make note however that the path is not well lit at night if you don’t have a car. Also, Marigot Bay is the perfect spot if you want to go both North (Castries) and South (Soufrière).
The villa is roomy and always clean, thanks to the cleaning staff (special thanks to Rose here who had a lot on her plate with the mess made by the 3 kids)! There’s everything you need in the kitchen to cook including a gas stove as well as a dishwasher. It’s very nice to have the patio that goes around the villa, this way you can enjoy the nice vistas from Marigot Bay. Even though there’s no AC, we never got hot at night thanks to the nice breeze coming in from the windows. Our only disappointment was the fact that the pool was a little cold.
Nina was helpful whenever we had problems. When the water heater broke during our stay, she found a plumber available the day we notified her of the problem. She also made sure we had a baby highchair as well as a crib. All and all, we highly recommend this rental.

I stayed in the Round House in Feb/March 2013, just forgot to take the time to review the house. It was a great place to stay. It was very well built and clean and the views were amazing. We really enjoyed being up the hill from the bay, as we could get more of a breeze flowing through the house. The pool was also really great!
The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We used the BBQ by the pool multiple times, which was fun.
Marigot Bay was really a treat for us. We loved St. Lucia and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great place.
A wonderful location with one of the most stunning views around. The house is spacious, but a little dated and tired. Unfortunately our stay was marred because we were badly bitten by insects (mosquitoes and others) at night time. There are gaps where insects can gain access into the house and despite using all available repellents, we continued to have problems. notwithstanding the best efforts of Nina and the staff and after pest control had been called.
We accept that in this part of the world people pick up bites, but have been to the Caribbean before and have never experienced anything like this (dozens of bites on legs and feet every night)
We stayed at the Round House in Marigot Bay for 10 days first week of February 2012. This is a wonderfull Villa, well built, very clean, with a very nice private inground pool. On the second floor the 360 degree balcony gives you the chance to view the magnificient bay of Marigot, the sea, the beautiful guarden and the nearby villas.Mrs Schneider our host is very friendly and always available to help.
We cooked a few nights on the Bar-B-Q and it was amazing to be able to eat outside at this time of the year. Everything you need is supply with the house. If you want to stay in Marigot Bay, the Round house is a very good bet.
A short walk down the hill to reach several waterfront restaurants, bakery, souvenir shops and a small Grocery store named Marigourmet. At Marigourmet you can find all the basic stuff you need to survive. The choice is limited but still it is only a few minutes away. If you need something bigger you can go to Super J at Cul-de-Sac. It is a 10 minutes drive from Marigot. A taxi will bring you out there and even wait for you while you are shopping. We rent a car for a few days (if you are comfortable driving on the left side with very narrow roads) it is cheaper then using taxis. We were able to visit many areas, gardens and beaches. We also attend the Gros Islet Friday night party and we ate all kind of creole dishes cooked directly on the street. There was so many tourists that night we felt comfortable.
We loved very much our trip to St-Lucia and definitively we will go back and rent the Round house again.
The Round House is exactly as pictured on the web and more. The views of Marigot Bay are fabulous - you can see forever. Our host Nina was available always. The housekeeper was wonderful and kept the place spotless. We enjoyed buying fish from the fisheries in Dennery and cooking it ourselves. Actually we enjoyed EVERYTHING. Our only disappointment with the house was the barbeque - needs work there. Other than that - this place was AMAZING.
St. Lucia has a lot to offer - friendly people everywhere. We enjoyed the Friday night fish fry in Anse La Raye, the market in Casteries, Rodney Bay. We loved the beaches that we went to. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
The only negative was our dinner at the Rainforest Hideaway - overpriced and HIGHLY over rated.
Marigot Round House is located on the south side of Marigot Bay with magnificent views to the bay and the sea.
It is only a ten minutes walk to waterfront restaurants and the Marina Village with a variety of souvenir shops, boutiques and facilities.
Marigot Bay is one of the major attractions of St. Lucia, because of its stunning beauty and secure anchorage.
