Sölvesborg, with approximately 17 000 inhabitants may be referred to as Scanian-Danish town. The city was built in the protection of the fort, which has given its name to the place. The road network dates back to the Middle Ages.
In the winding streets of the city you will find small, nice shops and several cafés.
The peninsula Listerland is mostly flat land on which the characteristic fishing villages out close together on the Bay of Hanö. The sought-after island Hanö say is a very popular destination, you can reach it by ferry from Nogersund out.
