We are an architect and artist couple and live alternately in Germany and Italy.
We love our apartment in Mitte, Berliners' and the whole area Berlin-Brandenburg. We are happy when our guests appreciate international life in an inspiring neighborhood and in a quiet garden apartment, just as we do it.
We have lived in West Berlin the longest time of our life. Now we wanted to get to know the historical and former East Berlin and the new lively center.
The apartment is a dream. It is right in the middle of town, but live is like on the countryside. In the room to the garden you can hear the church bells in the morning and the birds and you overlook a huge garden oasis. The small garden in front of the apartment is accessed via the courtyard.
Many restaurants, cafes, galleries and great shopping nearby. All landmarks in the middle are within walking distance - Museum Island, Hackescher Markt and many others. The bathhouse against ('bathhouse center') is a listed building dating from the 20's and was built by the architect Henry Tessenowstraße. It offers pool and sauna.
Center is a district of Berlin in the homonymous district and includes part of the historic districts of Berlin. In it, the eastern center of the German capital, is the former city centers of Old Berlin and Colin, the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, Humboldt University, the Museum Island and the television tower. There are numerous federal facilities, the Berlin Senate in the Red City Hall and the Berlin House of the Prussian Parliament, and numerous embassies in the middle.

No other district of Berlin that combines such a small space as many historically significant sites and buildings as the Mitte district. Historical core center of the German Empire, symbolic place of the German division and reunification, the center of power of the defunct German Democratic Republic. The area between Friedrichstrasse and Unter den Linden, the Republic Square, the Mark Brandenburg District and the red city hall is filled with testimonies of history, such as the Berlin Cathedral, including Lustgarten, the armory, the Museum Island with the Old and New Museum , the Bode Museum, Humboldt University, the Berlin Ensemble, homestead by Berthold Brecht, or the former site of the city palace of the Hohenzollern. Whether you are particularly interested in the Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, or the area between Wilhelm, Behren and Disability road.
