Mountains every where you look! Beautiful sunset every night, the view are truly majestic! We had a large family reunion, there was plenty of space for all of us. The house had everything we needed for our stay, even has a large media room, so don't forget your favorite movies. Mountain biking, hiking and fishing are all close by. And wildlife right our the door! Highly recommend and can't wait to stay here again!
We have stayed here five different summers with family and think it is the perfect place to get away and relax and enjoy the New Mexico mountains. The cabin is large and roomy with a very nice layout. The main kitchen is open and accessible to all as well as to a main porch which overlooks the beautiful valley below. We love the many bedrooms and bathrooms which allow for privacy for each couple/family, while allowing us time to be together and enjoy family time as well. We do lots of birding from the porches and in the area and recommend it highly for bird lovers! There are so many great things to do in the area--hikes, zip lines, jeeps, Vietnam memorial, and all the lures of Taos as well -- it couldn't really be much better! We love the fact that the cabin is secluded, affording lots of privacy. The porches are a huge plus for us because we love the views, the birds, and the family time there! A great place to go!
We have nothing but positive experiences with the maintenance and cleanliness of the property or with the responsiveness of the caretakers and owners. Everything has always been excellent. We do a lot of cooking at the cabin itself and appreciate the availability of cookware, dishes, etc., enough to serve a large group. We have enjoyed the theater room greatly over the years and always bring a good selection of DVD's!
We recommend this property to anyone looking for a wonderful spot for a vacation.
It is hard to decide whether this property was more enjoyable for its exterior porches and views or for its spacious, comfortable, and generous interior accommodations. We enjoyed our dinners on the spacious main porch every evening, comfortably hosting our large family and thoroughly enjoying sunsets, the spectacular view of the Moreno Valley and majestic Wheeler Peak. What a respite from the cramped, excessively hot concrete jungles of our urban lives! The interior was equally enjoyable with the large kitchen and family room which centered both around the large dining table and the enormous, new sectional couch which faced the two large picture windows. Sleeping and bath accommodations were also more than ample as we had the privacy we needed without feeling cut off from the others in the house. And the theater room was a perfect place to gather at the end of a long day, following a dinner on the porch, for a movie all could enjoy. Our stay was revitalizing and thoroughly enjoyable, and helped us forge memories we will not soon forget. What a blessing others ought to experience!
We have 11 families we ski with every Spring Break. The first year we stayed in the Flaherty home, some of our group stayed down the mountain. The second and third year, we rented the Bass Cabin in front as well. The experience combined was perfect for our families. We have plenty of non skiers and kids of all ages. The location allowed our group to come and go in waves. This year we lacked in snow, but managed to have a blast hanging out in the yard. We would have liked a little nicer mattresses and pillows, but this was good for our large group. The layout is perfect, and our kids ranging in ages from 7-15 will always cherish our Angel Fire experiences.
We had 28 people including kids. Plenty of room for everyone which is very important with that many people. This was our second stay but the first time to have the whole house. The views of town below are just awesome. The only negative on this trip was the lack of snow but that just enhanced the stories told at night because of the extra crashes everybody had because of the icy mountain. The kids loved the theater room.
Rosemary and Shannon are great to work.
We have a guy's week of skiing every February. Since the group is getting bigger each year, this year we decided to rent a place on the slope with more room. Couldn't have picked a better/nicer place. Plenty of room, with big bedrooms, nice kitchen and all the amenities of home. Although the snow pack was light this year, we had no problems with access to the slope. Great place and we will be back next year!!
