As you make your way down the long private drive of this rural middle Tennessee farm, you'll be pleasantly surprised at what's awaiting you out behind the barn ... our newly finished GUESTHOUSE is both unique and spacious. You'll be our only guests, so make yourselves right at home. You'll be surrounded by gently rolling pastures complete with horses, a few cows, and even a couple of donkeys ... and lots and lots of peace and quiet.
Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, or coming to Tennessee on business or vacation, we offer an experience you'll long remember. You may want to linger outside awhile to enjoy a sense of peace as you take in the quiet sounds of nature. The stress of the day just slips away...... Inside, a large expanse of windows will also provide your own private view out back. Then at the end of the day, you'll want to draw a luxurious bubble bath in your 2-PERSON JACUZZI. Sweet Southern breezes drift over you through the open windows while you watch the sun set over the hills...and soak till the stars come out. Feels like Paradise.....
...Then sweet dreams.....and if the weather gets dreary, the sound of rain on a tin roof will lull you to sleep...... OR.... you can crank up the music and howl at the moon till the rooster crows. Whatever makes you happy.
Next morning, sleep as late as you like....no need to answer a bell for a communal breakfast with people you don't know. Tasty, fresh foods such as sausage and biscuits, fruit and pastries, and of course coffee and juice have been stocked in your private kitchen just before your arrival ( slight additional charge applies). Or we'll deliver a full country breakfast to you. And bed trays are provided if 'breakfast in bed' suits your fancy.
Rise at your leisure, and enjoy your COFFEE OUTSIDE IN YOUR P.J.'s if you like......the animals don't mind.
OR....YOU MAY CHOOSE THE SMALLER COZY COTTAGE ... Enjoy the peace and quiet of nature as you have morning coffee under the shade tree out back while you watch horses graze, and listen to the birds singing above. Your homey cottage is furnished with a queen bed as well as a sleeper sofa...other amenities include full private bath, eating area with efficiency refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and complementary coffee... TV/DVD/VCR, CD/Stereo AM-FM player. Charming, newly-remodeled with private entrance....perfect for the budget-minded traveler or for a tranquil country getaway.

We are a semi-retired couple who love animals and the peace and quite of the country. We're about 7 miles from the nearest town, and a mile off the highway on a little country road....with lots of Mother Nature and no traffic...just the way we like it.
Dan is a Viet Nam vet who loves horses and music (ask him to play spoons for you...you've never heard them like this !) Virginia is the dog and cat lover who enjoys sketching and painting.
Dan & Virginia Parrish purchased this house in 2001
We bought the house because of the location... Peaceful rolling farmland and pastures, the sounds of Nature....and no traffic. We later added the Guesthouse and Cottage for guests.
While we're definitely 'away from it all'.... (from the Guesthouse you won't even see another house), it's a short drive into Shelbyville or Bell Buckle with quaint shops and many good restaurants. We're also just a few minutes from Jack Daniels Distillery, which attracts a quarter million visitors each year. If you stay in the Guesthouse, you can watch the horses graze as you relax in the oversized Jacuzzi surrounded by windows overlooking the pasture. You're welcome to pet the animals,too... they all love the attention.
