Beautiful Setting!

  • 5 of 5
We found The Lodge when we needed a place for 3 families to meet for a reunion that was reachable for a weekend from our OH, NY, and PA homes. We picked the place from this site and some follow up conversations with the owner, so only knew what had been published. When we got there we were so impressed with how wonderful and well-stocked it was, as well as how nice and accommodating Mark and his family were. We REALLY enjoyed our wekend at the Lodge, and the bonus of Coudersport's Maple Festival being in town that weekend was great too. The Lodge was SO relaxing. Everyone went for a walk on the beautiful property (and there's lots of it to walk on) and we just hung out at the house and enjoyed getting reaquainted. I can't imagine a better place for a quiet getaway. Thanks for everything!

Comfortable,Welcoming, Relaxing, Great Hosts

  • 5 of 5
Our party consisted of 4 couples and 3 kids. We were all very comfortable, not on top of each other. The Lodge is very comfortable - we felt instantly at home - and very well stocked with necessities such as spices, paper towels, shampoo, toilet paper, dish soap and dish washer soap - all those things besides your food you don't want to have to spend tiome running errands for. The Lodge lent (pun instended) itself to an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay and easily fit all of us for realxing and enjoyable meals. The towels are fluffy and the linens soft and of a good quality. The place is very clean, and SO comfortable. Not in the least pretensious. It it is rustic, but in a wonderful, relaxing way.

We mostly ate out doors at the beautiful, rustic black locust picnic tables - but the beautilful dining room could have easily accomodated all of us had we inclimate weather.

There is a field perfectly set up for clay pigeon throwing - we had a great time shooting. There are tons of paths opposite direction from the shooting area on which to hike. We enjoyed peaceful, glorious mornings on the deck.

The wood was very well stocked for the sauna and the fire pit area. We could not have asked for better hosts. The Lodge is about a 45 minute drive from Wellsboro. Cherry Springs State Park, Pine Creek Gorge and Sinnamahoning - all well worth your time in visiting.

We were made to feel welcome by Mr. Peet, and the family obvioulsy takes great care to ensure guest comfort, which we deeply appreciated - we really relaxed and plan on being back for a longer stay in the future.

Peaceful and Away-From-It-All

  • 5 of 5
The Lodge at Lent Hollow is the perfect mountain getaway! The lodge is clean and well maintained. We enjoyed hiking, boating, fishing, target shooting and more. The men in our group enjoyed riding their 4-wheelers for hours all over the mountain and the women enjoyed reading and relaxing on the wrap-around deck! The Spring House and Sauna are unique amenities as well. Also convenient to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The Peet Family is very hospitable and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend a stay at the lodge!

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5
A group of friends and I went up to the Coudersport area to enjoy the fresh summer air and see the beautiful stars of Cherry Springs (if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go see the starts in this wonderful park). The Lodge at Lent Hollow was extremely cozy, clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen. We all enjoyed hanging out in the cabin-like family room, and had big dinners thanks to the large dining table and fully stocked kitchen. The house slept 13 of us comfortably and there was room yet for a few more. Despite the summer temperatures, the awesome sauna was well used, and tending to the wood stove became a popular activity. Everyone had an excellent time just relaxing inside and outside of this wonderful home, especially on the large deck. There are lengths of trails for day hikes or ATV rides right behind the house, just don't get lost!

Wonderful for Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5
My family all lives in Ontario but we live in Maryland. We picked the lodge because it was nearly the halfway point. Sadly, we had rain for the entire 4 days we stayed at the Lodge! However, we got out and enjoyed some of the surrounding beauty. The Lodge is rustic yet cozy. We were able to spread out and enjoy one another's company - great meals were cooked in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed in the lovely dining room area. We would love to visit again when the sun is shining and we can enjoy the miles of trails and natural beauty of the area. We truly loved staying at a place so clearly loved by a family. Special memories are made in places like the Lodge. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Owner's Response: The Clark's,

Thank you for your kind words.............

We are so pleased that other families are enjoying the same feeling of connection that

we do during our several get togethers each year at The Lodge. It has become a

gathering place for all of us.

We have found that the opportunity for families to be together under one roof is truly what

makes a family gathering so memorable. Blessings The Peet Family

Truly God's Country

Truly God's Country

We were impressed by the pictures of the lodge online but there is nothing like being there in person. The accommodations are wonderful. The lodge is very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen, eating in the diningroom as well as the deck, fishing in the pond, catching newts, riding our quads all over the mountain and star gazing. The books are too numerous to count and the quaint decorations reach to an era gone by. Also the family history is quite interesting. We look forward to using the sauna in the winter time. Thanks to the Peet family for their wonderful hospitality. The wine was absolutely delicious. We will be returning as often as our schedule allows. Tim, Susan and Noah
