Casa Mirage is a 5 bedroom/4 bath oceanfront villa with attached studio, set upon Playa Grande beach. All 5 bedrooms and studio feature air conditioning, ceiling fans and safety box. Included in the rental rate is wireless internet, room cleaning every third day and evening security. The architecture emphasizes an open air design, with rooms uniquely opening into the privacy of an inner courtyard. The rich Costa Rican culture is integrated through out the villa with beautiful local hard woods, pottery of the Choretega Indians, and artwork from Central America. Furnishings are contemporary, colorful, and comfortable. Wrap-around verandas both upstairs and downstairs provide spectacular beach and sunset views. Casa Mirage is located on the northern end of Playa Grande (near the big rock), by the Las Tortugas Hotel. This is a beautiful, secluded and undeveloped beach community.

The oceanfront villa is set within the the Las Baulas National Marine Park, nesting site of the giant leatherback turtles.

    Cancellations will be honored 60 days prior to arrival with full refund. After that time the deposit will not be returned unless the house can be re booked for that time period (less a service fee of $100).

    Check-out time is 11 am, as the villa must be prepared for the next guests

You will find the Casa Mirage offers a perfect and uncomplicated oceanfront vacation, specifically designed for couples, friends, families, or groups. With our other villa located next door, Villa Olivia, we can accommodate a total of 26 guests. Two International airports- Liberia (LIR) 1 hour drive and San Jose- 4.5 hour drive. From San Jose the domestic airline, SANSA, flies into Tamarindo. Both Playa Tamarindo and Flamingo are 30 min. away.

Activities-: World class: *Surfing * Deep-sea fishing * Golfing. Giant Leatherback turtle watching, horseback riding, canopy tour, kayak safari, snorkeling/scuba diving, sunset sailing, local village fiestas, wild cat reserve, monkey zoo. Rincon De La Vieja, Santa Rosa, and Palo Verde National Parks are wonderful to explore and see animals.

Location, location, location! We stayed at casa mirage for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The booking process was easy as was the arrival. We were a few families so the house was big enough to offer every one enough space if they needed it and there was lots of common space. We just parked ourselves under the trees overlooking the beach and let the kids run around, perfect, everyone was happy!

In Nov. '08, we had the pleasure of staying at Casa Mirage with a group of friends & it was everything we had hoped it would be. The house was comfortable & the beach was spectacular. We also went on some wild adventures with Jacamar Tours.

Casa Mirage...another great trip to paradise! This is about our 5th trip to Costa Rica and every time it gets better. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mirage and the Playa Grande area. Three of us surfed everyday in front of the villa; the surf was excellent our entire stay [9 Days]. Highlight of the trip was watching a nest of leatherback turtles hatching and heading to the sea directly in front of the villa. Where else in the world can you see something like this? The calm and beauty of sunrise in the morning enjoying a cup of Costa Rican coffee and the beautiful sunsets in the evening...Pura Vida! Dinners were great and highly recommended at Kiki's, Rip Jack's & Bula Bula. Tatiana at Frijoles Locos was very helpful in setting up our horseback riding & fishing with Capt. Randy Wilson on Talking Fish. Capt. Randy is a great host, the fishing was excellent...we caught plenty of dinner.
Thank you very much Julie, we had a great time and look forward to returning.

Thanks for everything. It was a great trip. We are
already talking about coming back next year,
maybe in March. Playa Grande has come a long
way since we were last there, 2 years ago. We were
able to alternate between Kike's, Rip Jack and the
Sushi Bar, so we only went into Tamarindo once for
dinner. Corynne was a great help. She essentially
acts as a concierge and makes things infinitely
more enjoyable. Also, the weather was the best of
the three times we've been down. The only day it
rained in Playa Grande was the day we went to
Rincon de la Vieja, where the weather was good.
