This home is located directly across from the beach at 1st Street. Beach access is less than 100 yards away. There is a wonderful view of the Wright Brothers Memorial from the back deck. It offers a fully-equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer. Other amenities include cable TV's, VCR's, DVD's, telephone, an outside shower, and a grill. Our newest feature is the membership into the Outer Banks YMCA. All guests of our home can use the facilities at the YMCA for free! Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a skate park, exercise equipment, gym, basketball court, racquetball, exercise classes, and evening babysitting. We are very close to shops, resturants, putt putt and a large movie theater.

Our family stayed this past week (7/25/2009-8/1/2009). What a great place to stay. Lots of movies, games and books to keep the kids busy at night. YMCA was a plus. (even the adults enjoyed) A all aroun great place to stay, quite to be on the beach road, and very, very, close to a beach access. and a plus was the nightly fireworks from the front deck that was taking place on the beach. hope to stay again next year. thanks from the Tester Crew, all 11 of us, aging from 26 months to 65 years old.

My family stayed here in July of 2007. Our major complaint was that the refrigerator hadn't been cleaned out in years. (Literally) There was tons of moldy food, salad dressing and mayo which expired in 2006 and a bad smell. Before I could even put our groceries away, I threw away a 30 gallon hefty bag full of junk from the fridge and freezer. Not a good first impression.
Besides that, the property is in a good location with close proximity to the beach access. But we would not stay here again.
