We love the outdoors, the west, the break from the summer heat in the south, and possibly most of all - the DEEP powder at the 'Ghee, Jackson, and the backcountry!
The Owner purchased this house in 2005
We love Driggs and the west side of the Tetons. After college, myself, and a group of good friends lived across the pass in the mid-early 90's in Jackson, WY. We fell in love with the area, and we resolved to return at a later date. Several marriages, children, etc. later, we decided it was time to return. We bought this house because it was the perfect place to introduce our children to the west and reunite in the Tetons!
Fantastic views, great proximity to Grand Targhee, great mountain biking, camping, trout fishing, rafting, music, etc. Our house is really located in the epicenter of all these great outdoor activities we love to pursue.
My 9 friends and myself just spent 3 nights at Big Loggy. Can't beat the view of the Grand and the Log Rockers saw some good use and conversations. The kitchen made it so easy for all of us to cook our meals and sit at the big table together! The home was clean and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home on VRBO!!
Cannot say enough about this house and the whole area of the Teton Valley! We are already planning to return next summer. MY kids did not want to leave and wanted to live in this house forever :) We had an amazing vacation in Idaho and Wyoming for 2 weeks. Loved our 9 days at Big Loggy. The views and the house were wonderful. Was hard to leave!
My husband and I celebrated our 30 th wedding anniversary starting in Driggs Idaho. I had never been to this part of the country and were lucky enough to stumble on to Driggs. The home was wonderful. We had our 2 grown children and everyone had their own space. The view was incredible out the back porch. We rode bikes up to Gran Targhee a couple of times with day trips hiking in the Tetons and in the Driggs area. You have to love a town with one traffic light and 2 great grocery stores and yoga studios. Try out Yoga Tejas. The kitchen was great, they even have a food processor! We want to figure out a way to live in this town part time.
I really enjoyed our stay in Driggs. The house was comfortable and had plenty of beds for everyone. The back porch with the view was the best part. We would recommend this house for a place to stay on vacation.
Great vacation spot for summer or winter. Fantastic views out the back deck (sunrise over Tetons) and the front porch (sunset over the Idaho mountain ranges). Great front and back yard for kids to bike, sled, or relax while cooking out.
The towns of Driggs and Victor are close. Both have great Western dining spots and sports equipment & fishing stores. Between Driggs and Victor is a great Western style ranch with dinners and sleigh/wagon rides.
2 Huge master bedrooms upstairs with 2 queens and a bunk room downstairs make this a great house for two families. All furniture is extremely comfortable.
My wife, three young children, and I decided to stay at this wonderful house with another family (also three little kids) so that we could ski the untouched powdery slopes of Grand Targhee. The house is a few short minutes form the ski slopes and is close to town, where we found terrific restaurants and cute shops for the wives. In addition to the world-class powder skiing at Grand Targhee, this house was the jewel of our vacation. There are plenty of beds, bathrooms, and space for the kids to run around. The kitchen is fully stocked with high end appliances and utensils for cooking. The furniture is in great shape and the interior of the place is gorgeous. The hot tub was fun for all of us and the kids had a blast sledding in the backyard. The real highlight, though, are the one-of-a-kind views from the dining area to the Grand Teton mountains with beautiful plains and mountains looking in the other direction. Waking up to the sun hitting the Tetons and whisky clouds floating over the range is breathtaking. We had a terrific stay and we will definitely be back!
