Beautiful Malibu Estate on 3.5 lush acres situated in exclusive gated community of Serra Retreat. Includes detached guest studio, tennis court, cascading backyard pool/spa. The house is just 3/4 mile from the famous Malibu Surfrider Beach, and the Malibu Country Mart (shops, restaurants) is just around the corner (10 minute walk). Despite proximity to the coastal highway, Serra Canyon offers an immediate rural feeling, with a few small private roads filled with horse corrals and adjacent State Park hiking paths. Nearby, the 'Malibu Lumber Yard' - new boutique shops - and Malibu Pier (restaurant/fishing) has recently re-opened with an outdoor cafe/bar plus a new Beachcomber restaurant in the spot where Alice's Restaurant stood for many years. House amenities include heated pool/jacuzzi, well-maintained lighted tennis court and basketball hoop, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, bicycles, outdoor bar & grill, indoor/outdoor music, etc.
