Sandra purchased this apartment in 2007
We have a regional office that houses our Architecture Firm on Julia Street. With the purchase of that commercial building, also came our 2 vacation condos on Julia Street overlooking the private courtyard, what a bonus!
The location couldn't be better; frontage on Julia St., in the heart of the Warehouse/Arts District and 1-block off St. Charles (street car and Mardi Gras parade route). Just a few minute stroll into the French Quarter and only a few steps to the restaurants and shops on Magazine. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy New Orleans in the heart of everything the city has to offer.
The owner of this condo is so nice and easy to contact and work with. The Condo was clean and comfortable. Our family enjoyed our time there during a Mardi Gras. We even caught a couple of parades by just walking out the door and up one block. Parking was easier than we thought too as there are a few parking lots close. The owner sent us a link to the parking lot company so we could gave an idea where they were located. We felt very safe here and there are lots of places close to eat at. We would contact this owner again if we find ourselves in NOLA again.
I spent several nights at this rental over New Year's, and my friends and I unanimously loved this property. We would certainly repeat in the future.
Email or phone contact was very easy, and the people in charge of the property were very helpful and accommodating with inquiries.
Great location away from the craziness of Bourbon Street but still within comfortable walking distance. There is hourly street parking as well as 24-hr lot parking ($20) on the corner. Also, Harrah's is a 5-minute walk for those taking advantage of free parking with Total Rewards play. There are many places to eat nearby, and this location is close to the WWII museum.
The photos actually make this place look smaller--this place can easily accommodate 7 people. The place is well furnished with plenty of extra towels, bedding and things like paper towels/toilet paper. The kitchen can handle cooking the simple breakfast or lunch with plenty of silverware, plates, pans etc. There is a master bedroom with one bed and a second-story room with three beds. The large dining table becomes the central hub while the living room has a TV for some down time.
Overall, my friends and I really enjoyed this place!
What a wonderful place! It's safe, perfectly equipped, large enough for the family to spread out, and in the BEST location! During our visit, it rained. We opened up the doors in the bedroom and enjoyed the sound of the rain falling in the courtyard, and listened to the bells of St. Patrick's Cathedral ring. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go and had a lovely Christmas. We will definitely be renting here again.
The kitchen is very well equipped. I easily prepared a prime rib dinner for our family with all of the equipment available. The bathroom in the master bath is beautiful, the shower is HUGE. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of linens and towels to get you through your stay!
Plan to visit the World War 2 museum which is right up the street! You won't be disappointed. There are galleries at every turn. Enjoy, relax... that is what this place is all about!
There are stairs going up to the apartment, and going down to the courtyard, so be aware of this.
This apartment was amazing! Super clean, safe, spacious, very comfortable. Lots of extra linens, fully equipped kitchen. Its close to the street car and bus stop, walking distance to EVERYTHING! Right around the corner there is an excellent burger place. We had an amazing time and it was the perfect place for our party of 5. We look forward to many more visits to the beautiful city of New Orleans and we will stay here every time! Thank you so much to Sandra for being so understanding and easy to work with.
The location in the warehouse district is wonderful, just a short, 5-minute walk to the French Quarter and easy access to the trolleys.
The unit was clean, well appointed with comfortable beds and furniture and a full kitchen. The unit has been recently renovated, and the master bath has a wonderful, huge shower. The master bedroom itself is also large and comfortable. As has been noted in other reviews, the bedrooms don't have doors, the master bedroom being at the end of a hallway and the 2nd bedroom being a loft. This really doesn't cause any issues with privacy, as the rooms are at opposite ends of the unit. The loft bedroom could offer some challenges. It is accessed by way of a steep spiral staircase. People with vertigo or any limits on their mobility may not make it to the top. Also, the loft was quite warm. We had the AC on and managed to cool it off, but we visited in May. Hotter weather during the summer may be less accommodating.
Still, all in all, as our rating suggests, we enjoyed the place, and would recommend it to others.
GREAT location. close enough to walk to all the partying but also far enough that you can get away from it.
the setup was perfect and the courtyard added a good touch.
we will definitely be back!
