I am a native of California and love the central and southern coasts. I love sharing our cottage with our wonderful guests.
Jill purchased this cottage in 1985
I vacationed in Pacific Grove as a girl with my family. My husband learned Russian at the DLI. We loved the area and it kept calling to us.
The closeness of the water's edge and the friendliness of the residents make this an exceptional place to vacation and relax.
Sea foam Cottage is an oasis of light and air and a love of detail. The 4 of us loved it and could not possibly had a better visit. We adored the cottage, the way it looked and smelled and offered a home away from home. Your artistic flare is evident everywhere, Jill. We all home that you let us visit again next year in Sea Foam and Snug Harbor (106 1/2).
We loved everything about our week in Pacific Grove at the Sea Foam Cottage. We especially enjoyed walking near the sea every day, golf at the Pacific Grove muni course and watching the sea creatures…including whales and surfers. Local restaurants were very good, our favorites were Passion Fish and Cindy’s at the Aquarium. The cottage was perfect for us. I can’t think of a thing we needed that wasn’t there. The cottage was so delightful and there is such beauty in that corner of the world, we didn’t have time to see much outside of Pacific Grove. Hope to be back soon!
My husband and I spent 4 nights at Sea Foam Cottage and found it to be the perfect spot for exploring all that the area has to offer. Situated across the street from the beach, we enjoyed the lovely walk to Monterey and Cannery Row a few times. We also enjoyed the walkability to the main street where there are so many great shops and restaurants. Really, everything you could want is within walking distance to this sweet cottage. We loved all the Victorian homes. We also enjoyed Monterey's historic walking trail - wow, the epicenter of California history. Other sights we enjoyed included the 17 Mile Drive and Big Sur. The cottage is quaint, cozy, clean and well-equipped. We were pleasantly surprised that the bed was so comfortable and we both slept amazingly well. We appreciated the bottle of wine and the free passes to the Aquarium. The owners are very responsive and made everything so easy and pleasant. We loved discovering Pacific Grove. What an amazing place!
Over the past 40 years we have stayed in many places in the Monterey area: motels, hotels, B&Bs, etc and have to say that the Lovers Point Cottage was one of our best. The location is perfect for walks to the point and in both directions along the coastline path, as well as to town. It is on a lovely quiet street. And the On-street Parking was never a problem. Inside, the cottage was immaculate and so comfortable for us. Loved the kitchen which reminded me of my mothers kitchen many, many years ago. The living room is very comfortable as well as the bed, plush towels complement the great bath/shower. Thank you for the aquarium passes which we used twice! We would definitely stay here again.
We just returned from our 5 day stay in this wonderful cottage. It was perfect. So inviting and felt like being at home. Being a VRBO rental owner myself, I could not have chosen a better location or home. The vintage stove was so cool, I even felt like I might cook something (but it was vacation!!). Everything was close by and easy to walk to. The surrounding homes were surprisingly quiet, despite how close they were. It was just a perfect place to relax and sight see whenever you wanted. The people in the town were super friendly. We loved the Aquarium and even got to see new born Seal pups on the beaches. I cannot say enough good things about the whole trip. It was also wonderful because I got to see my daughter who moved to the area in Oct 2013. I had not seen her since she left the east coast. We loved looking at the pictures, too, of the renovation of the house. We did a lot of that on our home in North Carolina we rent out. Once you stay in a home, you will never want to go back to a hotel again!!
Thanks for everything. I will definitely stay in this home again when I return to the West Coast!

We loved our week in your charming, clean cottage. The location was perfect for long walks along the beautiful shoreline. We saw tons of birds, sea otters, harbor seals, whale spouts, backs and tails. We enjoyed your historic downtown area, with all the nice shops and great restaurants. Plus, the city is so clean and pretty with all the flowers and monarch butterflies.
The drive along Highway 1 to Big Sur was gorgeous.
The weather was lovely too. We watched sunrises and sunsets, saw fog roll in and out, and heard rain one night. We left with a bit of a tan.
We went to Mass at St. Angela's, attended an informative presentation on honey bees at the museum, and enjoyed the farmers market.
Thank you for the wine, coffee, and use of your aquarium passes. The aquarium is wonderful.
Most of all, thank you for trusting us with your cottage. We look forward to returning.
