Walk to the river (1/4 mi) from this incredible hand-hewn log cabin on 12 acres with luxury finishes, game room with pool table, ping pong and video games, WIFI, central AC, and hot tub overlooking breathtaking VIEWS. Deer and wild turkey roam this area freely, and are often spotted by guests. This impressive 2300 sq. ft. log cabin is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. The exterior with hand hewn log and chink with exposed beams on the 15 ft. deep covered cathedral porch makes for a wonderful experience. The porch has rockers and a lovely dining area, but best of all has one of the best views in the mountains. Everything about it has been carefully thought out for the ultimate vacationers pleasure. This beautiful home has every extra from the hand-hewn logs, hand made rhododendron porch railings, tongue and groove paneled wall and ceiling in every room, stone-stacked wood-burning fireplace, wormy maple hardwood floors. This impressive 2300 sq. ft. log cabin is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. The exterior with hand hewn log and chink with exposed beams on the 15 ft. deep covered cathedral porch makes for a wonderful experience. The porch has rockers and a lovely dining area, but best of all has one of the best views in the mountains. The wild turkey and deer are abounding on this 12 acre privately owned estate. The interior has also been thoroughly and thoughtfully designed with the comfort and pleasure of the vacationer in mind. There is plenty of room with 4 bedrooms, each with a wonderful view, and decorated in mountain decor with hand made quilts, goose down comforters, and interior pine walls. With a total of 4 full baths, two bedrooms have private baths all with imported tile, cherry cabinets, and the master bath has a whirlpool tub. Don't forget the hot tub sitting in total privacy overlooking the view and night sky. This is the perfect place for solitude and peace. This house has it all and mere words will not do it justice. This newly completed home has even had the interior professionally decorated. Please remember, 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter. This house is GREAT!!! We could not have enjoyed ouselves any more. The view was fabulous, very private, sooo much for the kids to do. The furniture was so nice and the mattresses were the best! Not like a rental home at all but rather my own house that I would love to own. A++++++++++++++++++++

We have stayed at at this house and each time it gets better. It is hard to talk about anything except the view as it is so prevelant; the whole of the living room, dining room, and kitchen face the full glory of the long-range view and the valley below, from every bedroom the view is great, the playroom has a different long range view, and the hot tub is different still. Yet, the house itself is incredible. So many little touches to make it homey and comfortable, and such wonderful decor. We would love to live here permanently and would recommend that you make this your vacation house as well. You will love it.

This weekend get-a-way spot is worth multiple trips!

We concur our experience was delightful. In addition to all the wonderful comments about the firepit, cabins, and playareas, the hottub is a hidden oasis if you are an early morning riser.

Imagine a quiet morning workout with the luxury of the hottub as your chaser! You can expect a steaming soak in the early morning while taking in the breathtaking view of the rising sun cascading the distant mountain tops.

What's left to say, it was exquisit!

p.s. We recommend a hearty supply of glow sticks to add to fun.

This property must have the best view of the Milky Way galaxy here on planet earth. Sitting by the fire pit looking up at the clear mountain sky was the highlight of our trip. The only thing to top that was to walk over to the hot tub and look at the night sky during our soak. The rental house was perfectly appointed with tasteful decoration and quite comfortable. The large TVs were a nice plus as were the gaming tables (which our boys loved). Wonderful time.
Owner's Response: These guests rented both Rhys and Glory Mountain, the house across the way. Glory Mt. is the house with the firepit. This house does not have one.
