Koh Samui has a tropical climate with average temperatures around 28°C. The weather is in general good all year round, with sun and low humidity from July to October. August is the peak season of Samui. The hotel is on Gulf of Thailand. The best season of the year for diving is from January to May and from September to October.

Temples - Big Buddha
The vast majority of people in Thailand are Buddhists. The temples are a cultural centre for each village. Many of the 'Wats' in the country have become tourist attractions. This doesn't disturb the residents in a remarkable way and they still go to pray. The most popular attraction is the temple with the Buddha statue decked with gold, which is found on the small island Koh Faan. The island is connected by a short embankment from Big Buddha beach.
Hin Ta & Hin Yai
Also known as the 'Grandfather and grandmother rocks' - bizarre rock formations which reminds of a female and a male sex organ.
Rocks are the symbol at South Lamai Beach, and they are one of the most photographed tourist attractions. Legend has it that a couple suffered a shipwreck here and got fossilised.
Heavens Garden - Garden of heaven
Here is a garden full of extraordinary sculptures, which were created by an extraordinary man. Nim Thong-Suk was a resident in the fourth generation. He began to sculpt figures at the age of 77.
These figures reflect parts of Buddha's history again and are found in a romantic and ancient wild garden, through which a stream flows down via a waterfall.
Waterfalls
There are some waterfalls on Samui. The most popular ones are both the Namuang Falls. The first one falls from a height of 18.5 metres directly in to the underlying pool of water, in which you can also refresh on hot days. The second one falls down from 80 metres height and then flows over several small pools step by step in the valley. While the first one is easily reachable by car, you should schedule a marching walk to experience the second waterfall and definitely take strong footwear with you. Unfortunately during the dry season here you will find only smaller rivulets, which creep down along the rocky walls. Another beautiful waterfall is Hin Lad Waterfall, which comes down in several cascades through the rain forest and finds its offshoots at the same temple.
Buddha's footprint
There are four footprints found inside one another. Each one is artistically engraved with pictures from Buddha's history. The footprint is found in a small shrine leading steeply 150 steps uphill. On top you can enjoy a view across the plains up towards the mountains and the sea. The signpost for entrance to temple is not marked well and is located on the left side about two kilometres west of the turn to Butterfly garden on 4170th Street.
Mummified Monks
Wat Khunaram: Mummified corpse of most revered monk of Koh Samui, Luang Pordaeng, is preserved and portrayed here in his same meditative posture, in which he died more than 20 years ago. Route 4169 between Na-Muang Waterfalls and Hua Thanon.
